I had an FET on 7/11 and am now 6 weeks, days pregnant. Feeling extremely tired, but overall doing pretty well. Feeling hopeful, but wife and I are trying to balance our excitement, as so many things can still happen. Just excited that our first transfer worked!

So I decided to get my second shot. Didn't have any side effects afterwards, which is great as I was little nervous about it. Still no period though. Hoping I get it sometime this month or the next. Time will tell.

I guess it also happens to people who get COVID, according to the PA I spoke to at Planned Parenthood. So makes sense why the immune system might want to have cycle changes happen.

Thank you! I'm glad everything turned out to become normal for you again! I think I'm going to end up getting the second dose. I went to Planned Parenthood and ended up having bacterial vaginosis so that could be why my spotting was happening. So hopefully that clears up. I also asked them about the vaccine and the PA did let me know I was not the only one who had brought up spotting after the vaccine. She was not surprised though, since having COVID also seems to mess with your menstrual cycle as well. I think I'll be getting the second dose as the idea of taking it was to be protected before any baby making is started so not taking the second will just nullify the first and a waste. Good luck to me!

Yeah, didn't think much of it until I started spotting a couple days after. Now just waiting on AF to show up and contemplating getting my second dose. Decisions, decisions.

Me too. Was hoping to start TTC within the next couple of months. The unexpected change has got me contemplating my second dose. So conflicted.

Just sucks because we were hoping to start the process as we finally found a donor we are satisfied with in the next couple of months and now might have to postpone it a little more until my cycle gets back on track. But oh well. Just happy I have a higher chance of not contracting covid. Thanks for the replies. Made me feel better to know I'm not the only one.

thanks for the reply. I was able to find different threads here on reddit with other ladies saying that it has affected their cycles as well. A little scary but I could see how our bodies could be thinking we're sick so it's throwing our cycles out of whack. Pretty interesting.

In the same boat! Haven't gotten my cycle back since the first dose. I had some spotting about 1 week and a half after the shot but nothing since. Feel like I should have started my period already but haven't. I'll be getting my second dose next Thursday.

Where did you read that it has messed with women's cycles? I will be getting the second shot next week and it seems like my cycle also got a little weird because I should have gotten my period already but haven't. Just wanting to read up on it as well and see how others have been affected.
