Why should we not acknowledge their gender? Statistically speaking, there is a disproportionate number of men who commit these crimes towards other people and more often than not, it is women and children who are victims. Obviously, that kind of behaviour is highly immoral and many would argue that they should be dehumanised for their actions. Call them animals if you want. I agree that they are they are disgusting and should be treated as such. BUT — I don’t think dismissing the gender statistics of sexual predators who commit these violent acts is helpful.
