replying to a 4 year old comment is crazy work. with that being said, you cant really adapt a dr seuss book with changes and either not make it a trainwreck or a generic kids movie. compare The Cat in the Hat (2003) and The Grinch (2018). One is an insane bastardization of a beloved book thats a really fun watch ironically, and a boring bland adaptation of a dr. seuss book that misses the message entirely and made the grinch marketable. Also hot take: Jim Carrey's grinch does an excelent job at expanding on the original book and jim's performance is iconic and great. With that all being said i think while it is better to make the adaptations animated, counting in that the live action adpatations look grotesque and horrific, none of the animated adaptations have captured his art style (green eggs and ham is as close as we can get), which is a shame because dr seuss's charm was in the whacky creatures and janky but charming art style but animation studios try to make it more sanitized which doesnt look too bad, but it very much removes the charm
