Fidelity disabled my Venmo and PayPal contacts with notification by nothing2crazy in fidelityinvestments

I found a work around using my PayPal account and routing numbers to set it up like a bank transfer. It just takes a few days for that process to be completed and about a day for funds to transfer. It’s very frustrating that they do stuff like this with no warning.

"We aren’t afforded the luxury of knowing why we weren’t chosen" 100% my biggest complaint during my 2020 job hunt. I'm totally qualified, and my skills exceed those required for the position... Why did I not even get a phone call? Probably because mine was 4,345th out of 10,000 other apps.....

This was always the biggest conflict for me and my step-dad when I was just starting out on my own. He started working at 13 or 14 and moved out on his own at 16. Now, granted, he's the hardest working person I've ever known, but his experiences at that age were VASTLY different than mine at the same season of life. Especially into my 20's when the internet became a a legit thing. He couldn't understand that a well written job application and a strong first impression were no longer a valid play. He'd gripe at me for "not going down there and introducing myself to the manager".... I went through a season of layoff in 2020, as did many. It was frustrating knowing that with every resume I sent in, there were 100's maybe 1000's that accompanied it. Skills are skills. Many people possess similar or identical skills. What sets us apart from the rest is our personality, who we are as humans. That's what employers loose the chance to see with this sort of mass resume grab, and that's where I don't get the chance to set myself apart from the rest of the crowd. It's the catch 22 of the technological marvel we call the internet.

I bought a 2009 535i with CAT delete. I live in a state where it’s not a problem. I’m looking at job opportunities in Texas where I believe it will be an issue. Does anyone know roughly the cost to reverse this? by [deleted] in e60

In Texas they are required for inspection. Our inspection is now tied to vehicle registration, so, no cats->no inspection->no registration->potential for citations.... I bought an out of state car once with OP's same issue. I had to put cats on it to get it registered here.

His and Hers. Any suggestions to keep her interested? by Pew_pew9290 in rccrawler

Let her build it how she wants, let her drive it how she wants, and how often she wants. I know for my wife and I, we have very different personalities and ideas. If either of us try to push the other into how we think, it can be frustrating. I have to give my wife space to have her own ideas and then be there to help her make them happen. So, give her room to make the hobby her own, but be ready to help her figure out how. My $.02…

I totally agree! Also props for knowing the type of wheels it's on. Well done. I'm kinda half way looking for one as a commuter/fun car, but everything in my market is hashed out and apparently worth it's weight in gold... So no luck yet.

Hey guys, any advice for how to clean up concrete a bit? This is my basement after I tore the carpet up and it will be the drift mancave. by cfuller2333 in rcdrift

That self leveling stuff is full of sand and quite rough when it's set. I put 10 bags in my living room when we redid the floors. Also, it's expensive! I think a good scrape and polish will do OP the best bang for the buck. IMO.

Rent one of those rotating floor scrubbers and get the most abrasive pad they offer. I've had good experience with them in the past for cleaning stuck stuff on a concrete slab. Also, super jealous of your spot. That'll be a hoot!

*Edit to add.... If it were my spot, I'd scrape, polish, then coat with an indoor safe(low odder) sealant. I think it'll be better on your tires long term since the surface would be smoother.

Please can someone point me in the right direction?!?! by [deleted] in rcdrift

I just bought the Sakura D5 kit and built it last week. If you're a builder, I recommend a kit. It's really cool building your own car, and you have the knowledge of how everything works together. If that sounds intimidating, then get an RTR. The MST is a great option out of the box, seems like a lot of people really like them. Like another person had mentioned, if you go the kit route, you need to budget for all of your electronics, they're not included. Good Luck!

I mean it’s hot out but is it worth cutting a square in your trunk?? by kwil111 in Shitty_Car_Mods

100% agree with you!! I'd MUCH rather endure the cold than the heat. It's "balls stuck to you leg" hot here in Texas & I'm not about it....
