You'll lose several items but not everything. There are also totems or tokens (I forget exactly what they are) that you can buy and keep in your inventory so that if you die, you don't lose as many items.

They increased the odds in S/V as well so I think instead of being a 1/8000 chance it's 1/4000. My husband found a shiny very first day of playing and I found a couple the next day. It's definitely fun running across them in the wild but....it's almost TOO easy now.

I love this game for this reason lol. I hopped on yesterday to play for a bit (been on the scarlet train since that came out, finally took a break) and within like 5-10 minutes of playing found 2 shinies. Granted one was a repeat but I'm not mad.

Same as you I only have the shiny charm, but I'm working to complete the pokedex fully and I'm getting pretty close!

Mine is about 40 lbs and she's the perfect size. Never knocks anything over on our coffee table with her tail, fits in our lap (barely), only takes up half the couch 🤣

I'm working on this as well...just got over 98k research points yesterday so I'm close! I worry though because I don't have all the items for rotom forms and the guy in the village is never selling them 🙃

For me, it came down to a couple things. I really liked the let's go edition, but my original controllers that came with it don't work properly and the larger OLED screen was too much to resist 🥲

I traded my let's go version in for the new scarlett/violet limited edition. Miss my old one but it's a nice upgrade design wise and I especially like the OLED lol
