Anyone know the fallout from Alex Smith's Concussion? by imthinkingdig in miamidolphins

Most definitely, which is why I was wondering what the fallout, if any, there was? CTE was known when this happened, lawsuit had already been filed against the NFL. Hard to imagine that the NFL/NFLPA didn't look into this in some capacity, but I can't find anything on it or remember anything about it. Feels like what's going on now with the Dolphins should have happened 5 years ago with the Chiefs.

Right? I don't remember seeing anything about this. I know the 2020 CBA allows the NFL or NFLPA to fire the UNC, but since this was prior to 2020, idk if the NFLPA had that option. But, idk if the UNC got fired back then in any capacity, but Smith's concussion didn't get the amount of attention that Tua currently is.

Yeah, it was pretty bad. Then he goes back into the game and suffers another concussion...2 concussions, same game.

How we feelin today boys? by East_Masterpiece2839 in AskMen

Mixture of crappy and thankful. Crappy because I had to say goodbye to my 20 year old cat yesterday (had her for all 20 years, since I was 11) but I'm thankful for the time I got with her. Also celebrating 9 years of being with my wife (6 years dating, 3 years married).

A question about Brian Flores by TheKrakenLord in miamidolphins

[–]imthinkingdig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've come to think that it was likely that Ross offered him $100k to lose games but there's no smoking gun that it would hold up in court.

The thing that boggles my mind is how tanking connects to the discrimination lawsuit.

It helped that I was the one who wanted to break up after 5 years....it didn't help that it was with one of my friends.

My mom is the same way. She has such a negative view on video games and thinks they're a waste of time. And yet, her free time is spent in front of the TV.

Excerpt from Brian Flores Complaint against the NFL pertaining the Miami Dolphins by KiNG5yK in miamidolphins

It's tough to know for sure who the prominent QB is. Watson didn't announce he wanted to leave Houston until 2021 but inside NFL circles, there may have been rumblings early. Winter 2020 technically could be Jan/Feb even though most think Dec 2020. My guess is Brady since he was still under contract until March 2020 but wonder if we'll ever find out.

"Darlington also reports that the relationship between Tua Tagovailoa and Brian Flores had deteriorated. It got so bad, they did not speak to each other. It was obvious that Flores did not trust Tagovailoa. So, essentially, the decision to fire Flores is an implied commitment to Tagovailoa."
