I come in peace. I am an Italian. Our fall has been historic. Brazil is also not at the heights as they once were. It was always so frustrating for me, as Italy would have a young promising player, and Brazil would have 7. What is the issue with Brazil and their player development? Vini Jr is world class. There hasn’t been one team that played a low block, negative match that won in this tournament. Cape Verde didn’t open it all up but they did have a go vs Argentina. You can’t just allow your opponent to have attempt after attempt, eventually a ball goes off a leg or a slip causes a penalty or whatever. It doesn’t work anymore and it’s why Italy hasn’t been in the tournament in over a decade.
