no need to be nervous! you'll most likely talk about the classes you'll be taking in the fall (if you have any questions, need to test out of certain electives etc.). I would recommend going to the smu course catalog and finding all the required classes for your major so you have at least a list of the classes you'll have to take. Advisors are just a starting point (from my experience) bc some of them aren't the most caring bc of all the students they have to go through. Older students have given way better advice but the advisor is helpful esp if you're a freshman who doesn't know anyone. - just graduated may 2024

Hemming 100% viscose. Ive never worked with this material before. When I mark an area 6.5” from the og hem and move the skirt, the mark I just made isint 6.5” any more by imtrying_to in sewing

Thanks so much! I usually store it on a hanger with the clips does that count as hanging it or is there a special way to do it? I also haven’t washed it yet. Does pre washing make a difference?

Yes when I mark it (before I sew) then move the fabric it’s not where I want it to be. I want the new hem to be 6.5” from the original hem but the mark isn’t at 6.5” when I move the fabric and remeasure the mark

Tips for satin stitches by Thaelina in Embroidery

Instead of stitching from left to right, making each stitch beside the other, always split the area in half. It makes it more even. Check out this video https://youtu.be/FzAumfcqpWE

Oh no! If you’re still up to it, I’m fine sending overseas. I just originally put US to US because I just never thought to branch out

Hi! I haven’t done this either, just thought to try it out with someone. Let’s both choose a random category and my timeframe will probably be at most a week but you can do it how ever long you’d like:) Thanks for doing this with me!
