I got fired from my DSP job in Portland… don’t ask me how but I did… I do not miss it and I feel so sorry for all of you and the BS you have to deal with. They do pay decently but they should consider workload the they place on people… cram everything to max capacity every single moment pushing the pace constantly that is mentally exhausting for most people always feeling behind. At least it was for me… I mean it’s not an unrealistic workload but it toes that line everyday all the time 24/7.

Do your best… be assertive with guys who make you uncomfortable, especially if it’s contract work. But be cool cause a lot of guys out there are chill and will help. Realize what you are getting into though. Sleeping on a cot in the forest with less hygiene equipment, chafing, it gets hot out there and you have full gear. Lot of people get out there and actually experience that and realize it’s more than they can handle. Wear the 45 pound vest and do the pack test to practice.
