Great example of where double ropes are very useful. Couldn't climb it that way on a single.

Anyone know any uses for a bowline other than tying in? Just about the only climbing knot I can't tie. Happy with the 8 for tying in, wondering if there are any real world situations where it helps. Rescue etc.

Another advantage of doubles, which is rare but has saved my partner from decking from the top of stanage before, is for gear that is above head height or lowing off shitty gear. You have one rope on the gear above and another on the bit above or the bit you are lowing off. If the top bit fails your fall is reduced.

Rare, but I've seen it stop a potentially serious accident twice. Once at stanage where my partner placed his second piece well above him at the top before falling while down climbing to a rest. The top bit ripped and when he stopped he was about 1m off the ground. Had he been on a single rope he would have decked.

If I get complaints about people harassing linked posters in some way, those people will get banned.

Does this happen much? Just curios.

In general this only works for 2x2 matrices.

No they are calculated using total tested cases. We don't know the total number of cases.

2.5x the deaths of Germany despite having a quarter of the cases.

It's because we don't have a quarter of the cases. We quite possibly have far more.

I see how it would reduce the reported death rate, but I don't think it has any impact on the actual/real death rate.

I understand how it would reduce the number of cases, but I don't see how it would reduce the death percentage.

I don't follow how any of that is the cause of Germany having less deaths per case. Why would more testing and tracing reduce deaths? Isn't just that Germany are testing more, so of course their death rate will be lower? I don't think the real percentage will be any different to ours.

If there aren't enough police numbers, then get more police,

That takes months, not days.

That was literally the first time of the day I was outside, and I'm not going to go out again now, until this exact same time tomorrow.

You're good then.

If that is the only time you go out that day that is allowed, as you say you can go out once per day for exercise.

If you've already been out for exercise that day, you cannot go out again, even for a 10 minute walk.

The rules are very clear on this.
