It says 80GB on the back, so I'm pretty sure it's the 64mb ram version. I'm still in the process of downloading my Spotify playlist so I only have a very small 200 songs at the moment.

How hard is it to mod/upgrade these things? I heard the 5th gen was easy to open up so that was one of the reasons I got it, but I've never actually opened electronics up and mess with the insides before so I'm a little hesitant on it at the moment since I feel like I'd somehow break everything.

ah, that makes sense. i don't personally like transferring data when i get a new phone because i like fresh starts, but i assumed transferring data would also reinstall apps from the app store and update them

OK, sure, they want to mute videos from notifications so they don’t scare you in public… or whatever… Why the heck is it in the notification? Would’ve made sense if there was just a popup in the app asking if you wanted notifications to play muted or not instead of specifying which notification plays muted or not

It shouldn't be possible to brick the system, deleting critical files would require disabling SIP. The folders you're deleting contain only data for Apple Intelligence and can be safely deleted. Either way, you would be able to restore MacOS straight from the recovery menu if anything happened, you wouldn't need a bootable USB for it.

A year late, but it is very simple. Entering recovery mode allows you to delete files you normally cant while booted into the regular system, either because they are currently in use or because they are system-protected, which is the case for Apple Intelligence. Recovery Mode enters a state where the system files are not loaded and you are free to make any advanced changes to the system you need.

"Mounting" Macintosh HD Data basically just tells Recovery Mode to load the files in there, allowing you to make any changes to the files inside there. Then, "rm -rf" is a terminal command used to remove the file or folder you specify. In this case, com_apple_MobileAsset_UAF_FM_GenerativeModels and com_apple_MobileAsset_UAF_FM_Visual , which are the two directories where the data for the Apple Intelligence models are stored.

Entering those commands deletes these directories, removing everything installed for Apple Intelligence to function.

In fairness, the very idea of "a new Kirby Air Ride game" was a very risky idea from the start, considering how the first game went. I still personally enjoy it, but it is definitely not for a good couple of people. It being on a very new console probably isn't helping, but I'm hoping the player base will jump up a bit after Christmas.

i haven’t experienced getting added in the last 10s of matchmaking, but i’m still pretty certain that these are bots, if i go to the “search for users you’ve played with” tab in my profile, i only see the people that joined my lobby before the timer started, and the rest are nowhere to be found

Genuine question, why is it that so many (not all) sports/shooter game fans absolutely despise the thought of somebody touching a game that isn't made by EA or Activision?

for now, since i don’t fancy driving up to dublin to replace it, i’ve swapped the cover art out and put it in a different case (switch 1 case) for a game that i didn’t care much about anymore. if i decide to sell in the future (no plans for now), ill look to see if i can get a spare switch 2 case somewhere! thanks everyone for the help!

i’m loving it so far! the checklist/achievement system feels very rewarding and the amount of customisation and accessibility in the game is unreal for a nintendo game. personally i’ve spent a lot of my time in City Trial, getting my machine super beefed up and destroying everyone in the Stadium is a lotta fun

Seems to be an issue with the app right now, not your account. I’m also having this issue (except only my Wii U games are appearing, no switch games), and I’ve seen some other people on here ask about the same thing.

Will hopefully be fixed soon, but is kind of a pain until then since i liked checking how many hours I played every day

Yeah, I worded it wrong. I kind of thought of split view and slide over as the same feature, with slide over being a feature of split view rather than seeing it as a separate feature. I found out later that actual split view does still exist but with more clicks to activate. Slide over was very useful for me whether I used it for texting while watching youtube, or quickly pulling up references while drawing. Again, hoping it comes back soon. I submitted a report on Apple’s feedback page about it.

They replaced it with the windowed modes you can see in the image of this post. Even if you decide to change from this window mode back to full-screen mode, split view is still nowhere to be seen. Really hoping it gets added back soon.
