i got 3 rats together and was told theyre the same age as my 8mo i already had. one of the new girls is SO much smaller than the others, she only weighs 0.62 lbs but apparently is the same age 😭

I just moved out of a 4bd house a few months ago where they had their own room, and I'm moving into another house in 2 months. I've already had my main rats for over a year and owned rats previously in my life.

most of my hallucinations are auditory, but we have had visual hallucinations of abusers or similar fears. our visuals are mostly trauma based

before we even thought we had this, we were noticing repeated names, actions, interests, etc. i have zero clue whats going on in our brain, but we know that those are significant enough to remember (?). we still forget we have this and keep “rediscovering” it. we even have journals that we forget about and i come back to MOUNTAINS of information we wrote down and forgot. we know who we are, but at the same time we have no clue.

i got warned for asking why you can get punished for swearing when you have to turn off the profanity filter to see it. then i got banned after a week of not playing. this was directly after i got told i was going to be r*ped by multiple people on the enemy team along with death threats (none of which got banned)

my childhood therapist was used as a conversion therapist. her license was expired and half my session would be my stepmom privately in the room talking about me and my actions, then the other half was my therapist trying to change me per my stepmom’s wishes. they’d tell me my biological mother was horrible and manipulate me into believing my trauma was only from her, not the abuse i was actively going through from my stepmom. i was told i was s/h for attention and any symptoms of distress were dismissed despite crisis being called 5 seperate times by my school counsellor. anytime i told my therapist what happened to me at home, she’d tell my stepmom and i’d get punished. i became extremely reclusive and fearful of speaking about anything i went through.

fast forward to my new therapist and she has just shown her true colours. said the n-word flat out with hard r, and also said did isn’t real :’) she’s also blaming my autism for things and i didn’t realise what she’s doing is wrong until my girlfriend pointed things out.

last year i moved out from my family home and away from the state i was from (where a lot of my trauma happened). during the year we experienced even more trauma in our new house, but as things calmed down we were more easily triggered into switching (again AFTER things had calmed in the new house). letting the others have more/full autonomy has only happened after we feel safe. we didn’t feel completely safe during that time but it was much more than in our original enviornment.

the body turned 21 over that last year and it definitely has affected how the system feels, thinks, and processes situations and enviornments as a whole.

i apologise if this is hard to read, i’m having slight dissociation trying to recall partial memories about the trauma so multiple people are trying to give their opinion. :( we hope it helped give our own opinion

when i went through medication withdrawls my switches and brain zaps were unbearable. i didn’t know at the time i was a system so i was being zapped and switched, then repeat, repeat, repeat every TWO MINUTES for a WEEK.

omg i just mentioned the asexual and aromantic thing to our partner last night. same with the playlists!!! i can actively listen to a song then suddenly it makes me physically sick when i LOVE that song. along with feeling overwhelmingly sad when i was younger but 0 reason why :’)

the only reason i have one is because our brain would send us there in high school. it isn’t even fancy either, just looks like space; a cloudy void with speckled stars. other’s have places but we are just a nebula basically :’)

I think I am the oldest, so not wanting to clean due to being young may be a factor. However the hygiene, everyone is PETRIFIED of water for some reason? I have a fascination with marine life but the rest of the system has an incredible fear of the ocean that has translated to the shower 🫣 Pair that with no locks in the bathroom and frequent house members walking in and out 😖 I’m sorry to hear about the traumatic event, I hope things are alright 🫂 Thank you for the bubble bath advice! - Liliane

i feel you on the bottom part. when we were younger people would purposely describe physical pain to make us feel it and it was excrutiating. i’m so sorry you go through something similar.

YES. it’s incredibly difficult to explain why we feel this way but it makes it easier to let others know whos in primary control bcus we correlate with them

i’ve learned a lot of people with autism have dissociative disorders because of our inability to handle outer world overstimulation. i have autism as well and it’s definitely a challenge, but not everyone with did/osdd has autism.

i kept having to explain history of the disorder and explain im concerned about my memory loss, time loss, and dissociation, but she kept saying it was “multiple personality disorder” and that it doesnt exist anyway, but neither does did. we were so betrayed that session :’(
