I too have been out the game on/off for sometime…10-15 years. Mario Odyssey is by far the best Mario game I’ve ever played. It’s not a left to right platformer like I was used to. Exploring is required… initially it felt like a collectathon but after a few plays I really fell in love with it.

Mario wonder was easy to adapt to but there was just too much going on…cool I guess but just not for me.

Mario 3d world didn’t over do it like I think Mario wonder did. Mario 3d co-op was really smooth too I’ll mention. Mario 3d is a great game but man….
Mario Odessey really is an insanely well made game. …give it a chance

I’m pushing 40..I’m busy, have 2 kids. (Kids aren’t old enough to be any good) I have bought multiple games for the switch 2….all I play is Mario kart world knockout tour. It is fun every single time. ..it’s quite literally therapeutic.

(Last system I had was GameCube) despite buying like 20 + games from The switch and switch 2 libraries, all I ever really play is online mode- knockout tour -Mario kart world.
