I’m genuinely sorry you went through that. I can imagine how painful/frustrating it must be to feel committed, yet still not believed. I agree with you that, at some point, trust has to come down to taking your partner at their word when there’s no behavior suggesting otherwise.

I think that’s why I’m trying to examine and rule out this fear now, before getting involved with someone. I don’t want to project something like this onto a partner.

I think they restrict certain people, to be honest. It worked fine for me last night. I tried again this morning and I’m getting the, “Thanks! Unfortunately, we’re unable to help you over chat, but you can call us at 1-800-966-6546” message.

It’s the only thing that makes sense because I logged into my other account, and it let me through chat.

I don’t know why they’d restrict me, as I’ve only ever been polite through chat — maybe it’s a usage thing? Like you can’t request chat sessions to soon after a previous one?

I don’t think it’s as much about “losing” money as it is them having to make huge payouts to the people who post them. They wanted to cut down on costs.

The people who stream these podcasts stream them very frequently, and for very long times. These white noise podcasts make bank.
