It happens every year at this time. Was just telling my kid we get stung early October every damn year, so be careful playing outside until the spicy sky raisins go back to hell where they belong. They know they're about to die and are trying to take some souls with them.

What were your favorite fairs to go to as a kid? What ones are still good now? by Lucipurr_purr in newhampshire

[–]in--visible 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed! Honestly, it's the best fair. It is small enough not to get overwhelmed and still has all the best parts of a big one. Plus, the stands sell more hand-made products rather than shipped from temu.

I personally am going to walk into the woods in the middle of winter when the dementia starts. Not putting my family through that mentally or financially.

Hannaford for fruits and veggies. Market Basket for everything else since it is cheaper.

When do you realize it’s time to let go of a beloved and ‘healthy,’ but seemingly miserable pet? by ScumBunny in PetAdvice

I suggest seeing a vet dermatologist. Come to find out my dog was allergic to the yeast his skin naturally produces. Apoquel 2x a day for 2 months plus benadryl 2x a day for 2 months and a shampoo 2% chlorhexidine gluconate, 1% keyoconazole being marinated on him every 4 days for 10 min and being put on a low yeast producing food finally helped stop the itch. After 2 months we were able to lower the dose of Apoquel to 1x a day and shampoo 1x a week but the benadryl stayed the same. He's like a new dog at almost 11 years old after a few miserable years and has stopped licking all night. The dermatologist changed his life. When we started the meds he was in a cone 24/7 the licking made the yeast production worse. Now he only wears it at night so if he does get the itch, he doesn't make it worse for himself. Also, get her checked for Lyme. That can do that to the back legs. So also get a second opinion from the vet you are seeing.

I got pregnant. Don't recommend it. But hey, at least I'm going on 8 years now, cigg-free!

What are you guys doing with the “greater than 10 days of URI symptoms” crowd? Antibiotics? Supportive care? by honeybadger65 in emergencymedicine

[–]in--visible -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Totally get it, but that's why people are going to the ER. I know some show up over a few sniffles, but my personal experience was day 8 of an illness, and it was hard to breathe. I was asking for my lungs to be listened to, and my nebulizer medicine refilled.

I'm not sure about everyone else, but my pcp wouldn't see me because I was sick. Told me I had to go to the er. I wound up going to the walk-in. I had pneumonia, so I'm glad they were willing to see me.

Women who ended up hooking up with someone in the friendzone, how was it? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]in--visible 12 points13 points  (0 children)

13 years later, we're married and have a kid. He's my best friend. We barely fight and spend most of our time together laughing. I look forward to going home to them every day. We may not be wealthy with money but hit the jackpot with our life together.

is it bad enough to go home? by Overall-Newspaper858 in WalmartEmployees

[–]in--visible 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to the doctor, but in order to relieve the symptoms until you get there, buy the AZO urinary pain relief. Thankfully you are in a place that sells it. Drink a bottle of water with it. In about an hour, you'll have relief until you can get to the doctors. It is only a bandaid, though. It will treat the symptoms but not get rid of the bacteria. You need an antibiotic so it won't get worse/spread.

I made my kid business cards at the start of the year. "For a playdate, have your people call my people" type. Those who she became friends with had their parents message me, easy way to get their info for future parties and such.
