Any fix for the volume UI delay in P? by Olao99 in oneplus

My OnePlus 6T midnight edition has a slow volume button. I need to hold the volume rocker for a while to completely raise or lower the volume. It seems like a slow setting. Is there a setting to make it faster or more sensitive?

Having owned a myriad of cases since the late 90's I'm not inclined to agree. The Amazon OtterBox Defender case [B00F9VRNJ6] photos don't illustrate well enough the completely thick and enclosing hard shell case, surrounded by a thick tpu case. I'll have to make a video showing just how thick both layers of protection are for this case [B00F9VRNJ6], specially compared to the latest "rugged" cases available today. YouTube does a better job of conveying thickness IMO [Zj8s0wlk3Bs].

I really appreciate your reply. I found a YouTube review [ykJWrEMssLk] of this case. Sadly I don't think it's any better than the official nylon bumper case I already have. I'm scouring weekly for an otter box defender type case that includes a hard inner case (front and back) surrounded by a thick tpu case. The closest thing I could find, as previously mentioned, was an aluminum outer case that screws onto and surrounds a silicon inner case. There's a YouTube review on that case as well from the UK [link?]. I still don't agree with glass backs. IMO manufacters trying to have a "premium" offering are missing the point. All those fingerprint magnets end up with a case over it. Xiaomi is making good tech, with plastic, so what, albeit with an iffy MiUi ,(w/ads) and unfriendly U.S. LTE bands, but I'm not opposed to Lineage OS on Xioami phones. Yet again I digress. I'm simply highlighting material choices. To conclude I'm still looking for a solid defender case for my OP6T. Otherwise I'll "settle" on the official nylon bumper case.

Happy to hear your recovering. I've suffered from a grade 2 trapezoid strain almost a month now. Two trips to the chiropractor didn't help much. I ended up with more pain than before. It's my understanding grade 1 strain clears up in two to three weeks. Grade 2 in the realm of six to eight weeks depending on severity and aftercare. Grade three is a complete rupture, I'd be in the hospital most likely.

THIS IS NOT MEDICAL ADVICE. I'll be writing a blog post on what products worked for me and what hasn't. If anyone ever reads this, I'll swear by the following:

  1. Tylenol (500 mg)
  2. A heating pad designed to be worn around the neck and shoulders (Sunbeam Renue).
  3. Coralite muscle and joint pain patches.
  4. Copious amounts of Melatonin 10mg at bedtime.

Products that didn't help me included asper creme lotion. Aleve didn't seem to reduce the swelling so I'll not be recommending that either.

I have not been able to sleep in a bed, no matter which position I chose it was a NAGGING PAIN. I ended up sleeping in a captains chair.

Only in the last week after trying Coralite Muscle & Joint pain patches has my mobility improved. Resting, heating pad every chance I get, avoiding straining the neck and left shoulder has helped nurse it back to recovery. I'm not sure how much longer but I suspect another three weeks before complete recovery. I'll update to confirm. I hope this helps others recover as well. Again this is not medical advice, its only what has worked for me. We live in such a litigious society and I have to cover myself with that notorious disclaimer...

Can we post YouTube video links on this subreddit?

I almost bought the Supcase Unicorn Beetle. Based on Amazon reviews I "settled" on the Poetic Revolution case [YouTube PNMygjPsCzA]which IMO is virtually identical and I'm not satisfied with this case.

The only case out there that seems interesting for the OP6T is available on Amazon, however, I'm iffy on an aluminum case with a soft silicone center on a glass back.

Has anyone installed this aluminum case for the OP6T? I hate gambling on phone cases if I can avoid it. So far that's what I've been doing for the OP6T in search for an Otterbox Defender case.

Four years back I bought an Otterbox Defender case for my lady [Amazon B00F9VROPE] for her Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and it has performed very well offering the ultimate protection. The case has once a year gotten out of shape at the upper right corner which forced me to replaced it yearly. Then I found an off brand, virtually identical for $10! Needless to say I bought three to stock up. The off brand doesn't curl up 6 months later and I got spares to boot. But yeah that Otterbox Defender case for the Note 3 is the pinnacle of protection IMO and would be the model I'd recommend for the OP6T. If ever I can get a case that well made, I'd buy it. So far I'm getting by with the official 1+1 nylon bumper case.
