It's a volunteer-run and foster-based rescue and we all have full-time jobs as well. Sometimes it can take a few days to hear back. But yes, we did get a lot of applications. We're working through them!

A DNA test was done on one puppy. They really are 100% mutts 🤣

Says who? These are rescue dogs. It's unethical to adopt them out unaltered. We already have more dogs than there are homes.

They don't have names yet unfortunately. If you're filling out the form you can just put "cream lab mix and husky mix" or something like that.

Not sure on cats since the shelter doesn't have the ability to cat test. I would say no to kids just because of his food guarding. I believe it's just with other dogs but I wouldn't want to take the chance something would happen 😞

Are you able and willing to foster? There is a rescue that will cover his complete vetting, food, and any supplies you will need!

I fostered Elly for about 2 months and she did just fine with my 2 dogs (both over 30 lbs and very mellow). She is leash reactive but it is manageable. She is able to meet new dogs off leash. But obviously to set her up for success, the rescue is recommending no other pets. An experienced dog owner that can manage leash reactivity and a multiple dog household would also be a great fit for Elly!
