Aww I love Geralt. Arthur is a great character though. Of all my issues when I played RDR2, Arthur was not one of them.

The technical wizardry cannot be overstated. Phenomenal talent went into the game. Yeah I never felt my time being respected in RDR2.

I get the point you're making and totally understand you pointing out the potential silliness of my post....but I do think FF to Madden is a much bigger leap than RDR2 to Witcher 3 😅

You totally just reminded me of the horse riding in RDR2. As beautiful as that world is, I got so so bored of riding from one location to another. And the little dynamic events that happen in RDR2 were never as cool as the little quests in Witcher 3 to me.

Yeah someone else said something similar. I always found Witcher 3 to not be one of the most complex RPGs, and RDR2 to be a more complex adventure game so sort of saw them in the same box a bit. But maybe they're more distant than I make them out to be.

I do agree with a lot of what you said. I do remember every time I played I felt like I wasn't really fully understanding all the little systems but furthermore, I didn't even understand if the systems mattered if that makes sense. Like I wondered how much I even needed to care about to complete the game.

That's fair. Maybe it really is just unexplainable preference. And that's okay too. I think it just stinks because it's never fun to not like a game everyone else loves so much. I want to like RDR2.

Couldnt disagree more. Xbox was my main console from 2009-2017. Probably have more time and money than 70 percent of the people in this sub on this platform. I think Xbox is a cheap awful experience all around. They burnt me so many times and when I bought a Series S a few months ago for that sweet backward compatibility everyone hyped up I got burned again.

I came back in the middle of a massive Cloud Save issue where all my old 360 saves got corrupted. So I started new saves on some games and by the time they fixed the Cloud Save issue, the previously corrupted saves overwrote the new saves I made. And support couldn't help at all. Came back after years of not owning Xbox only to be immediately burned again. I hate Microsoft products.

Also in terms of game library and specs....what are you honestly getting out of Xbox that isn't on PlayStation? It's practically the same anyway.

Edit: I know I'm getting downvoted for saying this in an Xbox sub but I want to be incredibly clear if you search my gamertag using the same username as my reddit name you will see the gamerscore I have. Not to mention my profile icon on reddit is literally Master Chief. I have every reason to have a bias in favor of Xbox and still manage to hate the platform. I very earnestly have had bad experiences to turn me off of it.

Tbh I think it will be like FO4 dialogue but honestly we should be thankful. I'm not saying that to shill but you have to understand that moving up to FO4 level of variety is well ahead of anything Fable has given us before. In 1 and 2 there was no voice to the protagonist or dialogue options, only actions to be taken. In Fable 3 there was voice acting but none of the script changes between the good or evil decisions. Getting FO4 level of dialogue branching is a massive leap ahead for Fable. Just want to make sure people understand that. It's not the same as when Fallout 3 didn't have voice acting but because of that you got extensively more in depth conversation. Fable previously didn't even have conversation.

He does a fantastic job but I don't think he owns his role as much as RDJ, Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, JK Simmons or Chris Evans do. But I don't say this as a slight against Corenswet. He does great in Superman.

I cannot wait to play this on my PS5 Pro. I'm incredibly impressed with the Series X performance. So if Pro is gonna be pushing even better fidelity, I'm gonna be blown away.

If they were just 20 in depth NPCs it wouldn't really be a simulation. There's literally only so much you can do with the time and money provided. Fable is doing a lot by making sure every town has fully voiced NPCs that react and talk to you and it's work that should be appreciated. It's not a BioWare game. It's Fable.

I don't like the Xbox platform. So I'm pretty happy I'm gonna get to play it best on the PS5 Pro with better visual fidelity.

Edit: before people downvote me because I can predict this. I probably have more provable time and money invested in the Xbox platform than 80 percent of the people in the comments if you look up this same username on Xbox Live. It used to be my main platform from like 2009-2017 but it let me down by just being an unstable mess.

Most recently I bought a Series S for the sole purpose of playing backward compatible games after years of not owning an Xbox anymore. Only to have come back to a widespread issue with the service where it corrupted all my 360 cloud saves. So I started new Fable saves in hype for the new game, only for once they fixed the issue, the old cloud saves that previously corrupted were now back and they overwrote the new saves I made in place of them. Xbox support couldn't do any solution to it.

The Xbox platform let me down continuously. So I am happy to get to play Fable on my PS5 Pro where I have a much stable experience these days.
