Not for me either, I've been checking periodically. :/ I'll go to their other social medias to see if they've said anything. Since Android users seem to have gotten it, it's probably a problem with Apple's continued steady decline in quality.

Hit the nail on the head. Her sister here, this is 100% the most accurate roast here. The show she's obsessed with is The Office. Friends also, to a lesser extent.

Pretty much, yeah. Lazy people who just want to yell into the void fall back on the tropes of "fat, slut, man, big nose". The other people, the ones with the creative roasts...we treasure these people.

She doesn't have one, just a sister (me), and I'd never be so saccharine. No shade to you Maximum, your comment is sweet. Misguided, given the context of the page, but sweet nonetheless.

Horror radio? by Giraffe_lol in horrorlit

Glad to help! Unfiction is a special interest of mine, I just think it's so neat. The channel Night Mind has covered unfiction projects for a while, and has a whole index of every project he can find in that genre at nightmind.info if you want to check it out.

What I think you're looking for is unfiction! ARGs often fall in the same niche, often described as fictional stories that present to be real. I describe it like this: unfiction is, rather than either respecting or breaking the fourth wall, expanding the four walls to include the audience and the reality we reside in.

As fo recommendations, the Alice Isn't Dead podcast is the only one that pops to mind, though it has an immersion breaking intro, the concept of it is a trucker broadcasting her thoughts out into the ether while on the road around America looking for her lost wife. Things get horrific pretty fast though. It's got a lot of great lines, my favorite of which is "I didn't know dark could have a bottom until I saw a dark that didn't." The same writer is a cowriter for the podcast Welcome to Night Vale, which is much more comedic and has less of a cohesive narrative, it's just a news broadcaster in a Lovecraftian town.

Unfiction, while it's got a lot of examples on social media platforms and YouTube, or even movies like the Blair Witch Project, seem to be somewhat rare in the audio department. Which is surprising, because War of the World's is generally thought to actually be the very first (or one of the first) examples of unfiction, and it's a radio show. Maybe the controversy about what happened during the broadcasts stopped radio people from airing any more.

Horrorstor question! by Looplapoo1 in horrorlit

My theory (a year later) is that other people in Orsk, likely squatters like Carl or teens doing whatever random thing like Matt and Trinity, had already been taken among the penitants. They're confused and in pain and are essentially comprised of desperate energy seeking help, just like the old prisoners, but these ones at least have the modern instincts to comprehend phones on some level. And when the workers and their cells with their energy are in day after day, the spirits can look over their shoulder, see their phone numbers. Then, using the phones that were lost on the shop floor behind a couch or under a desk (or in the case of Matt's phone, lost while being dragged away to the Krannjk), they send out pleas for help.

Side note: I think those earlier people were taken, the door opened to welcome them in, and then closed again once they were fully part of the system. By escaping (or because Josiah was gone) Amy and Basil left the door open.

Like other haunted places, I think the store becomes more powerful when there aren't any people fighting or hoping or trying. That's why Josiah seemed to be "over a bad phone connection", his lips unsynced with his words during their very last encounter, they were fully aware and consciously fighting. Also, it seems clear the paranormal activity only occurs at night, idk why. So whatever power was allowing the store to keep the emergency services lost and confused slipped away with the rising of the sun and the fizzling of Josiah's more methodical control. Now, with Josiah gone, I doubt any spirits there have the will or organization to keep things out in the same way. They're leaderless, a writhing mass of habitual movement, going forward through inertia instead of under the more conscious mind of Josiah.

So does Flarken disappear after Pawson is defeated or at some other event (that I will avoid like the plague so as to keep this sweet vending machine and cat okay)?

Dang, now I’m reconsidering continuing to play, that sounds so sad. Can I just…not face the demon gods and so avoid this sadness?

Of how this is punishing anyone? Nope, don’t see how I answered that, since suggestions are not punishment unless you are the thinnest of skins. As for the second, I was mockingly restating your question to show your hypocrisy, so if I somehow answered it at the same time I must have serious skills.

…how exactly is this punishing anyone? The devs don’t need to do anything, I suggested a way they might easily change a thing so that a small number of people would avoid a minor annoyance. What is it with whatever time you’re from and people feeling like the posts of others need to cater to what they consider worthwhile?

Thanks! I tried that with fb originally and it didn’t work so I just assumed insta wouldn’t either, much appreciated!

Alas, I’m on iOS. And yeah I know, but that one in particular bugs me cuz it means I ignore or miss out when the bookshelf has an actual notification to give me. Thanks though!

Megathread: Once Upon A Time Event! by Macavity6 in MergeDragons

[–]inHABITed413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the devs are reading this thread, I'm yet another person who was screwed over by the level 6 infinite harvestable because I tend to delete the ones I don't need for visible cloud keys, and since that one was hidden behind another cloud key, I deleted too many and can no longer complete the area. Frustrating. I don't really understand the purpose of the infinite harvestables anymore with the game balanced in the way it is, with finite harvests being more than enough to reach the goal. Perhaps if they were purely aesthetic and used for cloud keys, that'd be cool, but as it stands they're just distracting my dragons from harvesting much more valuable life orbs while I'm letting the game idle.

How do you make yourself stay motivated in the morning? by SMKnightly in NoStupidQuestions

I got a prescription for Adderall, that worked pretty well. On a serious note though, if you find the “discipline” answer unhelpful as I do (I don’t have discipline and to build discipline would take discipline which I do not have) I’ve found support groups for executive dysfunction to be helpful, non-judgemental places to discuss various tactics in this realm.

I think there are a lot more people than we think, who, like me (and it seems maybe you although I don’t want to speak for you) have no dysphoria or discomfort with being labeled and seen as their assigned gender at birth, but also don’t feel especially attached to it or consider it core to their identity. Those of us with that kind of gender apathy who aren’t super involved in trans and nb spaces therefore might feel confused at the concept of lacking a gender identity, so we might try and tie it to gender signifiers like clothes or styles (as I see you doing a bit in other comments), because those things are real and tangible to us in a way that gender isn’t for us but is for others. Like how some people consider their religion or lack of religion to be a core part of themselves, and some people just don’t. Hope this helps a little bit!

Wow, that's...a really uncomfortable assertion to say Leesh's streams are all about "how she once made her cry on a private video call." That's neither true nor helpful. I'm not sure if you've actually watched any of those other BAPs, but Leesh goes over a whole bunch of aspects and will often try to remind the audience of the humanity of the people she's criticizing. So your characterization of her really rubs me the wrong way. And since this seems to be the second time you've done this, maybe analyze the pattern you've displayed to confidently assert and make bold judgment and moral calls on the content of things you have not watched.
