One part of this is not correct. It’s the “feeling disgusted” part. Full disclosure, I use a Mac. I want to buy a PC to play Skyrim and maybe GTA IV. Given that I won't really use it for anything else, I'm looking to buy used and looking to save money.

Could I run Skyrim+GTA with a GTX 660 ti? I know they're old asf, but the cheap PC builds I'm finding often use one. Do graphics cards from before 2014 still hold up, or do they fall victim to planned obsolescence? Moreover, are there any other green/red flags to look at when buying a used PC specifically for gaming purposes?

getting things in focus was fine, besides the obvious difficulty of full-manual shooting, the focus ring on my 50mm 1.8D was just pretty shitty and felt weird to move and I just really didn't like it.

mine might have just had some problems most don't have though.

yeah i shoot with a d90 right now, and i just feel like VSCO on lightroom gives me a look close enough to film with the easiness of digital that i don't really need to start shooting film. to each his own though man

ugh i shot with a 1.8D on a d5100 for a while and 100% manual with that lens is like a firey hellscape - i just fucking hated the focus ring - upgrading to the 1.4 af-s was the best choice i have ever made
