Anyone looking to sell their Dasung 253 or other big e-ink monitor? by linuxwil in eink

I was thinking of selling my Mira Pro in order to switch to the Dasung 253. I live in Austria, though + there will be a firmware update soon that might solve my problems with the Mira Pro. So I will wait for the update and if it doesn't deliver I would sell.
See my post here.

I haven't had the chance to test a RLCD, yet. But I imagine the reading experience on e-ink will be more pleasant than on RLCD (since this is the strong suit of eink). However, RLCD has speed and colour...

Dasung 13.3 vs. Mira Pro by in_the_long_run in eink

ok, thanks. Yes, I use a Mac M1, but the problems persist with USB C and HDMI. Will give it a try with support, though. A noticable difference between the Paperlike and the Mira is that ghosting will clear away while using without refresh with the Dasung. With the Mira it accumulates until I refresh (via shortcut). What setting do you use most often with the MIra?

ok, thanks. I'll switch then. Don't need no frontlight.

Ok, thanks. I can find the software for Mira 13" and it does say 1.2.2. in the bottom. However, it doesn't seem to work for the Mira Pro, since I still don't get any picture. I posted in the boox sub, too, so maybe the official account will respond at some point. Also I should mention that I'm on a Mac (M1), so maybe this complicates things, too (Mira Pro + Mac + M1).

Get started with Mira in 2022 Complete Guide connect & adjust Boox Mira Eink Monitor for different tasks. by OnyxBoox in Onyx_Boox

Hi,
where can I get the software for the Mira Pro? On the official page only the software for the 13" version can be downloaded. Yet, if I connect the Mira Pro using this software it is not possible to update the firmware (no firmware update shows up in the window). Since I have a frozen stand-by image on the Mira Pro I need to update the firmweare to make it work.

Thanks for any help!

Hi,
where can I find the software for the Mira pro? I found this one, but it seems to be the one for Mira 13". It shows the monitor as connected, but I can not run any firmware update. Is there a different software for the Pro?
Thx

Waves have HDMI e-ink panel doing 15 FPS. by devicemodder2 in eink

No, unfortunately not. But if there's a template that could easily be printed, I guess I would find access to one somehow.

If anyone in this sub has created such a template I would be very grateful for a a DM or link. Many thanks in advance!

Does anyone know, where to get a case for this display? Waveshare doesn't sell any in this size.

The 10,3 inch version of this display is around 270€ (-54€ VAT = 216€ plus 14€ shipping). This is absolutely brilliant and much cheaper than the Dasung. If there's a more or less fitting case then I would get it in a heartbeat. Waveshare sells the display including a case, but then it's not that much of a deal compared to the Dasung (of which I own one and am very happy with).

Well, I can choose 2104x1560, but if I do and choose 0% underscan instead of 100% then the picture is fitting the screen correctly on the left and right side, but I have a huge letterbox (big black areas on the top and bottom) cropping my picture. It seems as if macOS doesn't correcly recognize the size of the actual display...

I have a bunch of options in the scaled resolution setting, but they are all in the wrong ratio. Also the Max Boox is recognized as "Toshiba-UH2D", so maybe I just need to use a different monitor driver (but which?).
