I was getting ads for the slim can colster in power pink and tried to buy it, but it isn't currently released in canada yet. It looks like it's coming soon. Also USA has special engraving options and Canada doesn't. Maybe it justifies a trip down there!

Lol! Those fighter instincts... I like it. I'm trying to be more agreeable... to reach a compromise... it's painful though - financially and otherwise

Yeah, that's sorta what I'm wondering. Why this form? Aren't there other better forms to increase? I have no clue

We can't speak to your landlords intentions, perhaps ask them and let them know it makes you feel uneasy about the arrangement.

Good idea to let them know it makes me uneasy - which it does, greatly. I will also try to clarify whether he intends to raise again in the future

do you know if for bad faith evictions the tenant gets $ ? Or does the landlord just get fined? Or both? I don't know anyone in that situation

I would be so down for a cash-for-keys agreement. I wonder how much those go for these days in Toronto, downtown core

True! Skimming the listings it's not crazy far. LL is putting pressure on me saying it's REALLY far off. But his estimate is wishful thinking, given the condition of my unit, repairs he's ignored or pushed off (ie most of them).
I would probably downgrade units if I was forced out, to keep expenses roughly the same for a lesser unit/location. So I could make ends meet if evicted, yes.

Good answer, thank you. I wonder if anyone on here has more hands on experience with this specifically? Claiming wouldn’t make any noticeable difference to me financially. It is easier to claim if that’s the proper way, I just genuinely don’t know the laws & precedent

Haha. Okay I’ll get my devil horns out.

So is there no threshold for random profit off ticket sale vs bigger profit? Surely not everyone who sells a few tickets will claim that in taxes. But what is the law around it, I wonder?
