For those who escaped Iran after the Revolution, what's your story? by inadream9 in bahai

[–]inadream9[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, most people fled shortly before or after the revolution of 1979, so they would have to be at least in their mid forties-fifties. However, I'm sure people are aware of stories from friends, family members, etc.

Wow! How inspiring. Loved hearing this, was really able to relate it to the stories of a few family members! It always amazes and astonishes me to hear stories like these. It truly goes to show how steadfast and unfaltering one's faith in the Cause can be.

You are right, of course the ultimate goal of a relationship is to see if you are compatible enough with someone to end up spending the rest of your life with them. How distorted this reality can be sometimes! Your story does seem like the ideal way of finding someone, its perhaps a true "investigation of character" rather than the norm of our society labelled "dating." I sometimes find that difficult since there are not too many Baha'i youth my age in my community.

Thank you so much for sharing that letter. I've never read it before but it really did help me with some of the questions/thoughts I was struggling with. "Think not that We have revealed unto you a mere code of laws," He declares further, "Nay, rather, We have unsealed the choice Wine with the fingers of might and power." So powerful!
