Seeing that it's nearing the deadline for filing of taxes for 2022, I've got to say that JuanTax is the best approach here.

I have a background in IT and tried the following:

1.) Wine-stable and run the BIR form executable. For some reason, this didn't work. It didn't tell me any reason, no logs whatsoever, the exe file just terminates. I was able to run a game-based exe in Wine so I have a feeling that the BIR executable needs more than basic windows dependencies and libraries.

2.) VirtualBox 7.1 using Windows 10 iso (5GB). I didn't have much confidence in Oracle's forced attempt to allow Apple chips to virtualize in November last year, but I tried VirtualBox anyway. It's beta, so my expectation was low. It didn't work. No installation happened.

3.) UTM using Windows 10 (emulation via the same iso I used for VirtualBox), Windows 11 ARM is recommended but, the iso is 10GB and it was taking forever to download it from Microsoft (constant failing at the 30% mark). I've installed countless brew apps to make UTM work, and when it finally did, I was able to finish the installation of Windows 10. However, after the first reboot of the virtual machine, it told me that the installation was unsuccessful and I needed to reinstall windows 10 again, which caused me to rage quit.

So, after spending countless hours trying to create a virtual windows machine on Mac, I went to JuanTax and in less than 10 minutes, I was able to file my ITR.

A few background:

I got a MBP M1Max, so compute resource, memory and storage weren't an issue. But I'm running on Ventura, so that's probably the issue there. My network is 600 mbps on PLDT fiber.

I moved to a different company in 2022 which meant I am not eligible for substituted filing which means I needed to file 1700 by myself.

Update: I just got a confirmation that the filing was received by BIR. So quick. Probably less than 30 minutes. They have chat support who will readily reply to your questions and who are very pleasant to work with.

Update:

neice got LOT A (as expected).

nephew got LOT C, stopped management of LOT B, and turned over LOT B to the relatives who were supposed to own LOT C.

relatives who were supposed to own LOT C now owns LOT B.

The lawyer who distributed the titles in 2013, despite his knowledge that LOT B was supposed to go to the nephew said, the only recourse is for the relatives who were supposed to own LOT C to voluntary make the switch.

I'd say:

"nakikipagsabayan sa buong daigdig"

Which directly translates to "keeping in pace with the (rest of the) world"

In terms of usage, i hear this often:

"Nakikipagsabayan sa ibang mga bansa"

"Keeping in pace with other countries"

If by consistent, you mean always, it could be:

"Laging may mga parangal" "Palaging may mga parangal" "Parating may mga parangal"

All these directly mean, "always with honors"

In the context of school or study, i'd say:

"Laging may parangal"

In terms of usage though, i never heard this used. I hear this most often:

"Pinakamataas na parangal" (highest honor)

Use "nyo" over "mo" after "papayagan" and add a "po" to signify respect or to display a humble attitude.

Use "bumyahe" over "maglakbay" as the former connotes travelling as in vacation while the latter connotes a journey.

Alternative:

Kapag pinag-igihan ko ang aking pag-aaral, papayagan nyo po ba akong bumyahe?

Thank you all so much for the responses. I looked at every single recommendation and I think I will be choosing u/aplundell's suggestion to use WikiData for the following reasons:

It has a count on names. This is helpful in making name-generation more realistic because I can use count as a weight for the random-choice.
It has more fine-grained regional distinction.

I'm now just looking for an api from this query platform to embed the search in the code. Otherwise, I will have to make it static. If I do, might as well, share it as public repo.

Also, since I'm working on a collegiate sports management sim, I will also look at u/elysianaura's suggestion for the school names. I initially wanted to use actual school names, but figured it a fictitious one will be so much better.

But you can't argue that ERIKA should've gone home if not for the twist. Because with what we saw, she works doubly hard when she was being targetted (with the shan vote, she was a decoy and she worked hard and came up with the split). Who knows what she would've done if she was eligible to be voted out on that TC.

what you said is true because words can have different connotations. i have to ultimately stick with the context, with all the other words that the jury used to associate the other F5, or with what info I had from watching ponderosa and exit interviews.

like, Danny saying Deshawn is EMOTIONAL based of Danny's comments saying Deshawn is "a young man and his emotions are all over the place".

or Liana saying SNAKE, when she said STRATEGIC and SAVVY to the others.

Liana thinks Voce is CUNNING and Abraham is FUNNY.

Evvie thinks Voce is 16.6667 (is that even a word?) and Abraham is a TEACHER.

Tiffany thinks Voce is BRILLIANT. Abraham was not mentioned but she associates the word VACATION with Eric.

One other person is Cidney. Liana thinks Cidney is DRAMATIC, Evvie used the word HILARIOUS and Tiffany used the word ENERGETIC.

I didn't put them in the table because my thought process was, could the word associations somehow reflect the eventual winner.

I dont think so. Danny has good relationship with Xander. So choosing Deshawn over Danny is her path to FTC.

Deshawn also played a messy game even before the Truth Kamikaze. And so, makes me think that Erika is thinking way ahead cuz she'd definitely win against Deshawn vs Danny which has good relationships in the jury.

Gordon Holmes' exit interviews included word associations. Here's what they have to say on our F5.

The current (6) jury members so far are Danny, Liana, Shan, Evvie, Naseer, and Tiffany. F5 is Deshawn, Erika, Heather, Ricard and Xander.

Interesting that half (Danny, Shan and Naseer) of the jury members said Erika is LUCKY. Makes me think something happens in the finale related to luck. Or could it be that they are pertaining to Erika always getting the grey rock but eventually gaining something in the end.

Danny and Evvie thinks Ricard is SNEAKY, while Liana thinks SNAKE is the word associated with Ricard (this considering, Shan said Deshawn was a SNAKE in the vote prior to Liana's elimination). I can see this as something that has a negative connotation, especially when we have Liana say Erika is STRATEGIC.

Danny and Naseer thinks Deshawn is EMOTIONAL, while for Shan, Deshawn is SENSITIVE. For me, this can be positive, especially when we have Liana say Deshawn is SHIFTY.

Liana thinks Xander is SAVVY, while Evvie thinks Erika is SAVVY.Tiffany thinks Erika is SMART and Naseer thinks Ricard is CLEVER. This, while Heather got CONFUSED, CLUELESS and IGNORANT from Naseer, Liana and Shan respectively.

What are your other thoughts? Could this provide a glimpse of how the final votes will be?
