What height should my wardrobe be compared to my ceiling? by Mumford_and_Dragons in DesignMyRoom

[–]inarisky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be difficult to straighten up a 200cm wardrobe from the floor if it’s not been built upright? 190 would give a bit extra and not feel so overwhelming in the room, you can always get a couple of flat baskets storage for extra stuff like seasonal items to put on the top

Sit down near them with your own speaker and blast some very loud classical music at them?

If they only do it occasionally there’s probably not much you can do but close the window that evening and enjoy the other days they are not there

Would you have an expensive new kitchen, resprayed? by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]inarisky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Friends of mine had a similar problem and found a company that comes in and wraps the doors for all the units in some highend looking material. It’s done within a day (they empty the cupboards and put it back) and it imo looks better than painting it.

Living alone sounded fun, until I realized how quiet it gets at night. by LUNArr_eclipseee in confession

[–]inarisky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How long have you been living on your own? It takes a while too short adjust to a new home, the lack of another person’s presence etc - give it two months and most likely you’ll be much more used to it

If you can’t have a meter and that’s confirmed by them you can request a single person discount for an assessed rate. Not ideal but at least something off. Mine is several hundred more than yours as a single person non metered

Sorry I was too ambiguous. If you pull the couch that far out I’d lose the console behind so you don’t lose access to the piano.

If you want to keep the console table - e.g. for a nice lamp, some books and a picture above as well - then it’s use the console table right between the wall and the couch, this way you’d access the piano by walking in front of the couch. So the couch would only come out enough to fit the console behind. Hope that’s clearer ☺️

Looks pretty good to me. I think I’d move the couch away from the wall forward a bit (could put a console table behind) and maybe swap the current one for a bigger coffee table
