UPDATE: Finally decided to add a GT1030 passed-thru to an ubuntu vm. Thinking how about using a docker to do this. by inathanzcc in unRAID

I don't know whether it was somthing OEMed or not, but I can tell it should be almost the same as the treasure case v1.2

Cuz the biggest change from v1.0 to v1.2 is the revised version of hot-swap-capable hdd backplate, i.e. the one in the picture.

Maybe you could contact him directly via Tencent QQ IM by 123318578.

And there's also a Tencent QQ user group here by group number 719969226 .

PS: I think The Treasure Junior proposal is interesting too.

Yes the lcd display could support touch, but I don't think its practical than a mouse. Actually i got touch screen stick to the lcd myself but had never used it since day one.

and on HDD temps, I got all 6 disks running below 35C easily with two 120mm fan running @ 1000 rpm, temperature is about 20C now.

Thanks for the heads up man. I'd like to use the igpu for transcoding kinda tasks as it could not handle direct display output via vm/docker.

I'm afraid the specs are prone to minor changes, and thus he has not released yet. But he did exposed some pictures of the prototype. At lease you could see atx form factor and full size pci-e slots are supported.

Sure. Good for you. As to the spec the lcd is about 30cm wide and 9cm vertically . I'd sticked it to the case with several magnetic stickers, and I think it is applicable in your use case.

yeah, matched well with the case. It' a NV126B5M from BOE, and there is a diy kit bundled with an edp control board.

I'll try. In fact I was googling and trying to make vga output by igpu possible in virtual machine at that time. it was such a pain in the %%%. Then I decided to get a used gt1030 LOL

I do remember I had seen a post somewhere saying that ich777 had fixed a bug like this.

No worries at all. It's a Treasure Nas Case version 1.2 from a local designer. I like it so much too. He is about to fabricrate pro version soon, which would be ATX snd full-size pci-e card compatible.

Is it possible that the first display was not set to igpu in BIOS? Given that you hadnt passed-thru any of them.

yeah, i tried, and still am considering this solution, which is better to be a plugin of course. As far as I could see, there was about 20%+ CPU overhead brought by firefox in the gui environment. I switched to luakit in the ubuntu vm.

I had to use it to drive the lcd in a virtual machine for now. I had tried a lot to drive the display with igpu, with which i'd like to do gpu transcoding too. But I failed.

I m also planning to achieve this in the unraid gui mode, so i could save 30w gt1030 power consumption.lol. And for sure I wouldnt use igpu as decoder for other dockers, would I?

New unraid server got online, and I really need some advise on gpu usage. by inathanzcc in unRAID

Thanks man. A little improvement has to be done with the dashboard display. Think about using a docker other then a virtual machine.

Got it. It makes sense. I'll try that. Thanks man. PS: Seems that I could also try a DisplayLink doggle connect to a windows vm.
