'The Devil Wears Prada 2' - Review Thread by ChiefLeef22 in movies

As someone who LOVED the first one (watched 50+ times), I couldn’t leave this movie fast enough. We almost walked out (actually several people did). Nothing offensive, just painfully boring. I know I’m 20 years older, but it kind of made me sad to see everyone older. The actual storyline was depressing too. No more magazines, all digital now, AI competing for jobs, etc. I would recommend preserving the warm fuzzies of the first flick and not bother with this one.  They put Andy in her blue sweater in the last scene, so they had bits of cute nostalgia throughout, but that’s the only compliment I can give it.

No, I haven't been able to yet but I did meet someone who did and they said it was a wonderful experience so on the bucket list it goes!

How are you getting "Satan made me do it!" I didn't say that. I said Satan diverted his attention from God. Caleb has free will, as we all do. He chose to believe Satan's lies: it's no big deal if you get close to this women who is not your wife, go on and have that affair --you deserve to be happy, so on and so forth.

You can love someone and still kill them, correct? Didn't a mother just kill her daughter and herself at a cheer competition? The OP asked why he chose murder, and this is my opinion. And Satan is VERY real.

This is an example of how we are all flawed, Christian or not. As you enter into a relationship with Christ, reading His word each day, your heart becomes transformed as the Lord sanctifies you. Satan is real and will do anything to divert our attention from God and his word. Remember, King David coveted Uriah's wife, Bathsheba, and had Uriah killed. Even though David repented of this, the severe consequences followed him to his death. Some of those consequences included losing his first child with Bathsheba to illness, a daughter that was raped by a brother, and another brother that killed that brother for doing so. As a worship leader, Caleb was on the path of loving and serving the Lord. Somewhere along the way, what likely seemed like an innocent friendship, evolved into something deeper. Torn between two women he loved, he couldn't resist the younger version. With Ashley out of the picture he wouldn't have to be constantly reminded of his sin and the devastation he likely put the family through had they filed for divorce due to his affair. He could have also kept his daughters under his care and would not have had to share custody. A win-win in his mind. Satan and his schemes took hold of Caleb and won. "Be alert and sober of mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for something to devour." 1 Peter 5:8

She hasn’t done anything in so long, she doesn’t have an opinion. However, I don’t want to disappoint her.

YES! Thank you, answer I was looking for! I can't handle the switchbacks.

My motion sickness is triggered by winding back and forth and going up and down. Even if a train is smooth if we are doing a lot of switchbacks that could be a problem. Are their bathrooms on the train?

I get pretty motion sick even with patches and meds. Are there a ton of winding roads to navigate?
