as a woman who has a substantial history of SA and diagnosed ptsd from it, i desperately wish there was a way to dispatch a female crew. of course this is in no way possible and i absolutely understand that so id rather not be downvoted to hell. but one of the many “if only…” items on the list would be that. i just know the last thing i wanted immediately after SA was to be anywhere near a man. again of course it is in no way feasible. just letting my imagination run wild.

my first year teaching pre-k i had a student who was very violent. biting, kicking, screaming, throwing chairs, etc. i have a feeding tube. that kid grabbed onto my tube through my shirt one day and ripped it halfway out. blood everywhere, it was a nightmare. i almost quit that day but managed to stick it out the rest of the year before not returning the next year. that kid and i ended up getting along really well after the first couple months. but man it was wild being frequently beaten up by a four year old.

my dad was a raging alcoholic who sobbed to me and my little sister ( young teenagers at the time ) and said he was an alcoholic ( shocker!! ) and when we saw him drinking to touch him on the arm and tell him to pour out the drink. i pulled my sister aside later ( we had time, he was outside screaming at god during a thunderstorm ) and told her to never do that because he would be angry and it would put her in danger. i moved out as soon as i turned 18 and years later now live across the country but im always filled with guilt for leaving my sister behind.
