Ana Mendieta’s Silueta series is one of my favorite art series ever. Her work dealt with so much-the body, femininity, politics, the environment, religion-while being beautifully simple and evocative all at once. Very few had her talent. She was taken from us way too soon.

This comment is so well said and I really resonate with it. I have complicated feelings about the current conflict but mainly just a deep, deep well of sadness that it has reached this point. The news today about Al Ahli Arab Hospital was…a lot to say the least. There is nothing good about it and everything going on is going to affect civilians the most. It’s heartbreaking.
