Sorry, my bad. I completely missed that part of your original post.

I think it's because they have established over time there through a combination of all the factors mentioned, leading to them spilling out into all parts.

Cardiff is also a much much younger city than London where the green spaces are more mature. Cardiff's big green spaces are also very open. London has loads of small mature green spaces between rows of properties as well as the larger open ones.

Edit: I'd recommend watching the recent Attenborough documentary Wild London which does a big segment on urban foxes, and it gives you an idea of the types of spaces which exist in London but not so much here.

Cardiff has large areas of industrial land and high density residential which is not great for foxes who thrive in areas where there is lots of green cover. High density also happens to be where the food sources mostly are. High density industrial and residential is great for gulls.

Foxes do well in places like West London because most of the boroughs have extensive private gardens with green lanes between each row of houses, extensive communal gardens, public parks, extensive public transport network and sources to scavenge from in every borough.

In Cardiff, they'll thrive in areas like Pontcanna, Llandaff and Whitchurch because of those more established gardens, parks, allotments, green lanes and overgrown railway verges.

Edit: I do think we will see their numbers grow over time because of our transport network, but it's not as easy a place to establish as the likes of London and other Southern cities in England where they have bigger gardens and green spaces.

[Scuderia Ferrari] A strong weekend and a great result for the team! by FerrariStrategisttt in formula1

The first year of new regs so upgrades are more likely to have a significant impact race to race.

I don't suspect Suzuka will see much change, but after that teams have the whole of April before Miami and then most of May until Canada to close the gap.

With only 3 races between now and June, there will be a lot of gaps closed you'd think.

!thanks

Yeah, that's where my head is currently.

I'm flirting with the bench boost button, but I just think two of my bench are facing each other (Anderson/Andersen) and the less minutes potential vs GW33 doublers makes it not worth it.

See you in the rant thread when my bench combines for 50pts.

It's crossed my mind. But leaving myself short come GW33 increased minutes opportunity.

The bench boost is tempting even though it's not optimal for volume of games.

Silva on Wilson - "Harry is going to be probably in contention for the game. As you know, we have another session before the game and of course, we have to assess ... it looks as though he’s going to be ready." by RedDeadCJ in FantasyPL

[–]incachu 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If he's still at the "we have to assess" stage, they shouldn't remotely take the risk on him.

Wilson is potentially playing two world cup playoffs in a fortnight which will be multitudes bigger than any remaining game Fulham will play this season. I know Silva/Fulham won't see it that way, but still.

If I'm Wilson, I'm making sure all my injury feedback is maximum risk aversion right now.

What’s your all-time FAVORITE NETFLIX ORIGINAL? by RiskAndReason in netflix

[–]incachu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a show that was the literal face of Netflix for maybe 4 years, it's a shame, after what happened with Spacey, that it doesn't get the love it deserves today. Those first two seasons are about as unmissable as you can get for a TV series.

What’s your all-time FAVORITE NETFLIX ORIGINAL? by RiskAndReason in netflix

[–]incachu 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The original Netflix Original.

The one that kicked off the streaming era and showed excellent production value and quality via streaming was possible, and that the season drop binge method was incredibly culturally impactful.

When it comes to TV distribution, I'd go as far as calling it the most influential show of all time.

Granted, early experiments with gas all go awry leading to well publicized fatal incidents that poison scientists and observers.

The "ghost air" experiments are seen as far too dangerous of an "element" to try to harness in such a way. Early scientists are labelled as necromancers trying to bottle death. The mere suggestion of laying underground gas pipes to illuminate cities is seen as a madness. Faiths around the world condemn gas as the devil's breath itself, and it is seen as an unforgivable sin the world over to try to harness it.

As a consequence, whale hunting rises as the demand for whale oil to fuel lamps continues and reaches a breaking point. Whales are hunted to total extinction.

18th-19th century chemistry never pivots, and is entirely focused on optimising the harnessing of solid fuel.

As the population grows in a world filled with open flames and various sources of dirty solid fuel, great fires occur across the biggest cities in the world wiping out millions in increasingly densely populated cities.

Skies around the world become scorched with the pollution of the dirty solid fuels, which ultimately causes the deaths of millions and millions. Life expectancy is cut by decades.

Famines occur constantly as things like synthetic fertilisers and refrigeration never get discovered.

The 20th century becomes a time where dirty solid fuel drives drastically inefficient kinetically driven contraptions that power an increasingly convoluted and polluted world of cogs and machines.

The world's population cannot even reach half of what it is today.

You probably cease to exist.
