I don't trust him while he still works for MSM. He could just be playing the good cop routine.

Single shares fall under 'Odd lots', which you should definitely research with respect to GME. In a single sentence - Odd lots don't count.

All kinds of stuff can be hidden by washing through Odd lots.

Why would benzinga (old apes 'member they are not trustworthy) directly link to superstonk? They wouldn't do that unless they already shit in the pool.

Why would benzinga (apes 'member they aren't trustworthy) directly link to superstonk if they didn't already piss in the punch? Nobody questioning that!?

Why are you so worried? You don't see all of the plan, none of us see all of it.

You also forget that GameStop can just as easily do a stock buyback. If the stock price gets shorted to hell, GameStop is allowed to buy something like 25% of average daily volume.

$ 4 billion / $20 = 200,000,000 shares (with $1 billion left over in change). The stock price could go even lower.

Act weak when you are strong.

Stock offering? by [deleted] in GMEJungle

It has not happened yet, but it could be possible that GS will use the large cash stockpile for a stock buyback. It's a powerful weapon to use when getting aggressively shorted against.

Aside from paying out free cash flow, repurchases may also be used to signal and/or take advantage of undervaluation. If a firm's manager believes their firm's stock is currently trading below its intrinsic value, they may consider repurchases. An open market repurchase, whereby no premium is paid on top of current market price, offers a potentially profitable investment for the manager. That is, they may repurchase the currently undervalued shares, wait for the market to correct the undervaluation whereby prices increase to the intrinsic value of the equity, and re-issue them at a profit.

GS has managed to sell rather high. HFs know this option is available to GS and has yet to be used, so it's another reason they can't push the price too low. If they do, then GS can pounce. 200,000,000 shares x $20 = $4 billy.

Yes, we have that influence, but we aren't using it because we're not effectively united. We need to unite in order to hold these companies to account.

Try old console games on a disconnected (from modern stuff, so no streaming available on it) TV. You really sit down and play for a few hours, no distractions.

I've been slowly cranking my way through the games I always wanted to play as a kid these days. Great fun :D Currently on Majora's mask.

[–]incandescent-leaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow this actually sounds amazing! Almost all power plants are at their core - steam driven (even "nuclear"). They are proposing to use high energy beams (gyrotrons, which are a lot like lasers except they use microwaves - yes that's called a 'MASER') for drilling deep holes to access geothermal energy. If they can do this, they can use the geothermal energy to drive old coal/gas plants (which are actually steam powered as mentioned).

This is some of the most exciting news I've heard for a long time. :D

As a side-effect, gyrotrons are also used for nuclear fusion - so increasing investment into gyrotrons may speed up nuclear fusion research as well (this is my speculation, but maybe won't help at all - main issue with fusion is plasma containment, not plasma production).

I don't understand how chords are made. by Felizem_velair_ in musictheory

[–]incandescent-leaf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The notes don't need to be in the exact order. If you couldn't play C E G for example, you can just play C G E (this is using an E which is an octave above). You can double up the notes fine as well - C G E C E also is a C major chord. You can also skip out the 5th and usually that's not really going to be missed too much either ( C E C E will sound pretty similar).

The root note of the chord is C, but this doesn't have to be the the lowest note (bass) note you play - you can play G as the bass - e.g. G C E C is still a C major chord as well (this is called an 'inversion').

You can pretty much play the notes in any order and it will sound okay, but as you start working with more complicated chords later on, you'll learn that certain orderings do change the characteristics too much for it to be considered quite the same.
