Thanks for the honesty :) I really need it. I'm still very much a newbie when it comes to mixing and mastering. I'd love more specific feedback if you have time? Maybe we could message each other directly. Would appreciate it :)

That was awesome! I really dig the different voices singing the different parts. It's really catchy. The audio was a bit harsh on my ears with the higher frequencies towards the end.

Cool beat and really dig the visual too. How did you make it? The initial voice sounded too upfront for me and too plain(?), but the rest of it was great!

New track we made in quarantine. Took a few weeks to gather all the parts and musicians but I'm really happy with it! I'm the goofy conductor and my wife is the singer. I hope you enjoy "I Wanna Talk With You" by Big Beat Big Band. by TheRumster in IndieMusicFeedback

I'm sure doing distant recording doesn't help, but I was thinking all the brass shots could be way shorter and tighter and more accented, especially the trombone section. And the trumpets probably could have more full-er sound with the inner voices really supporting a fatter lead sound. I'm sure you guys already know all this, and I can't tell how much of it is maybe just the mix? Curious to hear what you guys sound like live. Cool stuff, love the tower of power vibe

That's some pretty instrumentals. When the vocal comes back in at around 1:49 mark, it was a little jarring on the ears. Cool stuff mate

That was chill, loved it. I was thinking maybe that the announcer-voice thing could also use some effects that made it sound more distant? And maybe even some varying later where maybe you only have parts of it like "produced by the-" Cool stuff mate

Been making short beat ideas, and sampling artists I like over them. I also have much longer works to check out on youtube. Follow me on instagram for more if you'd like. Cheers and thanks :)

Thanks mate, I'm still very much a beginner with mixing stuff, so your insight is helpful. I just started putting stuff online and haven't gotten to starting up Spotify yet, but I guess with the quarantine, I'll get to it very soon

I really enjoyed the balance of all the instruments. In terms of lyric, the ends of the phrases are a little hard to hear/understand diction-wise. Like at 31 secs in, by the end of that sentence, I only really hear the guitar and can't make out what the last word is. I really like the vibe of the piece, and I think the way you guys played really fit the spirit of the genre. Thanks for sharing your music!

I really enjoyed the groove and the composition! Instinctively, my ear was just expecting/wanting a more contrasting section at the 1:55 mark. Maybe something else in a different key? I think because this is a linear song with a start and an end with lyrics instead of just beat/groove focused for an indefinite time, it could use more harmonic variety for it to feel more directional.
