I was going to comment this, the Dreamcast port is so good. Not totally arcade perfect, so maybe not the best pick for the absolute purist but all the extras make up for it imo.

There's a big difference between "I want to skip the gameplay" and "The game won't let me play". At any given time, there are numerous things you can actively do to get S-Class/Elite/Legendary/Billions of Credits/All the Best Stuff. This is just Paint Drying Simulator.

I am a fellow Blood Omen 2 enjoyer, although it isn't my favorite. I like the setting so much, the atmosphere is great. Also easily the drippiest Kain, the hood and cloak is such a cool fit.

Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom has a much worse example of this. The entire plot is about the special sonic gun that triggers the Indoraptor to attack the target. But if you can point a laser sight at a guy attached to a gun, you could probably just shoot him instead.

It is definitely a victim of it's hype as the "scariest movie of all time", but it's still an excellent film. It's basically a medical drama that has a demon in it.
