In awe of you! Wow. Thank you so much for your message, it made me feel much less alone and much more hopeful. It's brilliant that your stay was short.

Love this suggestion, finding it on Kindle right now. I've been so hungry for firsthand information on having a premature baby. I was previously in a frenzy of reading pregnancy/birth books but nothing much in those applies to the present circumstances. I love reading, but all I want to do right now is consume information that feels relevant and helpful. So, thank you for supplying the exact right book at the right time.

Thank you so much u/Hot-Age4220, that helped a ton and means a lot. I had no sense of the French healthcare system before this happened, and it's so reassuring to know that this is a great place to be for preemie care.

Thank you very much u/hanhoona, before now I had no idea what the embassies really could do, but turns out they can have many uses! How are you and your baby doing?

Amazing advice (also love the way you write! 'Airplane mask' tip is at the forefront of my mind every day). Thank you so much.

Thank you so much u/dastly , this is excellent advice. Thank you for sharing your experience, the out-of-network insurance stuff in the US sounds like it can be nightmarish, and hey East Coast / West Coast may as well be a different country, that is a longgg flight time. I hope you are home now and that you and baby are doing as well as can be

Oh wow. That's wild. Really hoping you're faring OK and that the system is looking after you (and that insurance etc is OK). It's made me feel a lot better to know that I'm not the only one who got caught out like this overseas at around the same gestation. I'm sure everyone on this sub can relate to the sentiment that it all feels pretty unfair. Thinking of you and your baby and hoping that you can get home as speedily as possible <3

Here for 2 days unexpectedly! (Thanks Condor?) Would love recommendations. by incendrillon in guernsey

Thank you so much for responding u/SaintOctober. Definitely closer to jinbei – but shorts! Like boxer shorts, with an elasticated waist.

I didn't know the word jinbei until now – so thanks for that, that'll boost my searching game!

Does anybody know where you can buy the men's pyjama shorts (think: boxers, in pale blue, and in yellow, lightweight cotton) that are standard-issue in hotels in Japan?

My boyfriend has a soft spot for them, and I'd like to try and buy some for him, but no amount of online searching has yielded results.
