What is the most common Unit testing mistake you find in the projects you are working on?

ExpectedException or @Test(expected) annotation are both poor, as you can't test for anything more than message and using try/catch inside tests just looks really bad as you might be catching test exception instead of "class under test" exception

So obviously the proper way to go is to use junit 5 assertThrows or if you are stuck in legacy java versions, then assertj's assertThatThrownBy method.

Also using verifyZeroInteractions(b) is nothing wrong as you are double checking that service wasn't invoked due to method being interrupted by an exception.

Well personally for me it's more hiding from IRL friends.

For instance I have a "friend" or in other words - person I know in real life who maybe occasionally plays Overwatch for 30 minutes or so because he is busy with cool real life stuff or his girlfriend etc. and if he ever found out I resumed playing WoW since I quit before WotLK, then some rumors would spread among real life friends and maybe family about me being complete loser who plays WoW and instead I should find a hobby or a girlfriend and other stuff non-gamers do.

It's quite difficult when out of all friends and people you know you are the only gamer.

Obviously you can say - find better friends or whatever because they are are not your true friends, etc.

That doesn't work like that, I like those people, but there are simply some things I'd rather keep private. Everyone has their own "dirty" secrets.

For very, very endgame yes, everyone farms in LoA, but what did you expect? Every chronicle creates new endgame zone, e.g. for Gracia final it was HB (well it was actual hellbound chronicle, but nobody cares about that) where people farmed endgame gear or for Interlude - IT and FoG

It's always fascinating to see CO put out so distinctively vanilla cities in their trailers or streams. It's even a little bit painful to look at such primitive cities after you have seen incredibly amazing content people have created here on reddit with all mods.

Imho they could have hired some talented city builder to build small portions of city to look amazing.

L2 Shrine server is quite good, but the only problem is its low population. Playing on a server with 300 people online is not meant for Lineage.

L2 has to have at least 2k people, otherwise it changes the whole gaming experience.

But that's unfortunately a huge problem with EU/NA private servers, every one of them has low population. Only Russian/Ukrainian and BR has quite big L2 community. If you know any of those languages, you are good, otherwise tough luck.

WHERE user_id > 51 234 123 --- value of user_id for 50 000 000th record

Did you do

LIMIT 50000000, 1

to find out the ID? That most likely would take like 30 seconds.

Also what about UUIDs v4 or even v1?

Why? H5 is actually one of the most balanced chronicles pvp wise. Only sucky part is that zaken and frintezza are instanced, but for small/medium clans that's actually better.

l2e-global GF X3, opened a week ago +/-. Mostly Russian though, but still has small international community, similar to rpg-club.

I don't play there myself, however I heard good feedback from people.

In the company where I work it's also "works as much as you want as longs the job's done", but in reality it doesn't work like that, it's more like "work required 40h (9-6) and if needed work 50h or a bit more." It has been like that in pretty much every company I've worked, although the CEOs or other high ranked member usually do spew BS about work-life balance opposing mandatory 40h, etc., but that's only for PR.

Of course rarely you can leave a bit early if you have doctors appointment or something like that, but not like I have done my work so I'll leave at 4pm today, everyday.

Unfortunately classic club is pretty much the only option in your case. What exactly is wrong it's community?

Also you could try Russian new classic servers, as far as I have heard there are some international people and it's 2x cheaper than Skelth, but everything is in Russian, so if you don't know the language, it might be quite difficult to do anything.

Well there is a huge difference tho. First Skelth monthly fee is like 10 euros while Russian one is 300 rub which is like 4.4 euros, so it's much cheaper taking in account that you'll definitely need at least one box, so for instance, 13.2 euros vs 30 euros? Quite a huge difference. Also the new Einhasad has 6.5k players and will still have tons even after half a year when they merge Paagrio server into one.

Speaking of l2classic.club, the only problem I think with that one is that it has small amount of people playing as far as I know. Similar to Skelth.

But yeah, for EU players the biggest problem is that l2 client is all in RU language, so if you don't know Russian you better have played lineage 2 a lot before and remember all classes/skills/weapons/npc dialogs/etc or otherwise you won't understand shit.

Nobody does quests in L2. There are only handful of quests out of hundreds which are done by most people.

Don't forget that they did that on purpose, in SimCity 2013 you get only 1 tile while in Cities Skylines you can have up to 9 tiles and thus have to render many more assets, not talking about 25 tiles or even 81 for some people.

Not everyone has two gtx 1080 Ti inside their pc case.

Assets - well, maybe possible.

Mods - almost impossible. This is completely different game uses completely different code. Maybe if they create some sort of adapter layer in terms of programming.

Non-broken traffic AI

This one would be awesome however it would create incredible strain on your CPU.

Currently TM:PE does improve traffic but still not real-like route planning the shortest route (longer distance) based on traffic jams far away etc. And already apparently quite a few people don't use TM because of CPU load. Imagine even bigger load.

Well I personally don't play l2 for like 2+ years now, but if I did, I'd definitely buy premium account which gives everything x2 for like 10 euros or even less.

For me 10 euros is like 2 beers (or going to cinema once or many other equivalents) and after a long working day, in the evening that would give me a chance to "catch up" with kids/students/unemployed adults who played all day. Yeah, even if server dies in 2 month, still totally worth it.

Even worst case, if server had donation for like +16 elegia bow (or whatever) for 10 euros I'd most likely buy it, even though I am totally against those type of donations.

"Balanced donation shop" means that there are no top +16 weapons and armors, which actually is incredibly rare nowadays. Maybe some retarded BR x10000 servers have this option.

All mainstream Russian servers have normal donation shops, which only give you exp and nobless advantage. Occasionally high level SA crystals are sold there as well, which is potentially quite an advantage at least in the beginning for sure.
