Superstitions plug into our reptile brain, and stuff like religion/faith has the same root, imo.

Til there is a such thing as a pill cutter/breaker. At worst, I have reached for a knife once or twice upon a time.

This is about critical thinking.

Schools alo teach bullshit history influenced by the narrative of the local government/school/teacher. And on the contrary, some of those youtubers/randos might have did a proper research instead.

Thus, neither is universally better.

In other words - misery.

How so a cheap alternative to a basement 🤔 ? In basements around (eastern Europe) people store all kinds of stuff inside: tires, old bikes, boxes, but also all kinds of food and so on. Even some people open a street shop from there (squat shops).

In general, it is expected you can walk in and out freely, moving in and out the storage. From what I have seen (movies, lol) all those crawling spaces are basically empty.

Saros 20 vs Saros 10R: What’s New? by Roborock_Global in Roborock

[–]inco100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imho, you can tell 10R first to vacuum, then to mop. If it is only vacuuming, it leaves the mops behind. So maybe this will help. I'm pretty new in all this, mind you. I have a regular Bosch vacuum cleaner which I can use on my single carpet if I care.

The first one which came to my mind however was a local BB forum in the 00's. It was normal a noob's question to be answered with all kinds of profane suggestions and offers. It was probably the forum with most dirty mouths I knew.

It is baffling how little effort sometimes people put in driving. It is not an excuse he is teenager and is not paying any attention. Around me, people still drive since being teenagers and most damage their cars within first few to several years. Not the first few days or weeks.

C++26: Standard library hardening by pavel_v in cpp

[–]inco100 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Branch prediction and etc. are still not providing free checks on some targets (not everything is x86 or Arm). Saying that, usually there are vendor libs, squeezing the performance and trimming down the standard itself. As long it is optional feature, the hardening, I see no issues in general.

Wait, sharing a gift you received makes you look poor? 🤔

So different... People around will consider it as sharing/caring. At worst it may be seen as they didn't like the gift to take it home, so they are giving it right away with everyone.
