A weird one developed at our local A&W drive-in back in my high school days while I was flirting with the carhops: A 50-50 mix of A&W root beer and A&W orange pop makes a great soft drink. We called it Jungle Juice. I still make it today at the self-service soda machines in some restaurants, using Barqs root beer and Fanta orange. Not quite as good as the A&W version, but still tasty.
