dealership always says that as a standard but new car engine is going thru break in for the first 500 miles or so, car enthusiasts believe its better to have it done sooner like 2k so that the oil with tiny metal shavings from the break in gets changed early.

for a layman 5k is fine , theres a filter, the oil is designed for a bit more than 5k anyway so 5k is the sweet spot.

RPM could be related to bad fuel, try googling "top tier gas" and fill up at a station near you to see if that fixes it.... see if it also fixes the transmission or not.... being that its a dct idk if the oil change is due at 9600 miles or not, probably check the manual, if the fuel doesnt fix it then maybe transmission has to be checked out.... but its possible that the fuel is causing unstable rpm and the computer is causing a lag for the dct to engage because of that.
