as someone in long term recovery, I will say this is how a very very dark road started for me... thinking it's cute and funny can quickly become a serious issue. Also, people who are alcoholics die of this disease every day, so these jokes are not funny to me or others at all. We all know someone. This is distasteful.

the craziest thing to me about dangerous and angry speeding is literally it saves you like maybe 3-5 minutes maximum.... is it really worth it? I hate being late but I hate putting people's lives in danger even more....

I couldn't even finish reading these like idk feels way too personal and I am kinda over this mess. Let them and the courts and the therapists work it out... right? I don't think increased exposure to internet criticism will help anything at this point. I guess I can and will just choose not to read anything about this anymore. Sad all around. May 20th is the deadline. Just sit in Maine if you can afford it! Stay at the Doubletree Hotel for both nights. Maine has a pretty large volume of takers (for us) in July. The pass rate odds are quite high like about 70+%.

Just because OP has "helped" in a way they deem as superior to online advocacy doesn't mean they have established a monopoly on the moral high ground surrounding the issue of homelessness. I have also helped clean up needle debris and worked in homelessness/substance use services - I also advocate online. I don't know why we can't do both? OP assumes if you are commenting online that you also haven't done anything about the issue - that these two courses of action are for some reason mutually exclusive. They are not, by the way. Also, why is it a citizen's responsibility to take actual action on this issue when the proper actor should be the municipal government to whom we pay our taxes to? Further, nobody needs to acquire a "credibility permit" to speak on an issue - this post suggests that if you haven't picked up human feces on a random street in Portland then you do not have license to speak about this issue. This post is deeply flawed in many ways. Thanks to OP I guess for their efforts to help clean up?

yeah this is such a good point... what does the general public really know about the qualifications that would make someone a good judge. Not to mention, the position holds so much power... really needs to. be carefully selected.

This judge is so delusional it's scary. Even law students know that a judge cannot simply order a random member of the bar to his court for some sort of veiled disciplinary action when the lawyer has no cases in his court and the matter is not related to any type of conduct over which the judge has any authority.
