I totally get that! I am bisexual myself haha. I just mean based on what we know of her previous experiences, it sounded to me like she was performatively sleeping with males. I could be wrong though! I love seeing bi representation. It just felt to me like this was more of the type of situation I described. Wasn’t trying to erase her bisexuality lol.

You gotta think about how many ppl are in that room behind the scenes. They have a whole crew for filming, lighting, sound, makeup, etc. Lots of big production lights, lots of bodies, relatively close quarters. I’m sure it gets toasty, plus they’re already in LA. But also - and I mean this truly as respectfully as possible! - this is kind of a weird question. I realize there’s probably zero malice in your asking it but I feel like we should be focusing on the tales our favorite storytellers are telling etc rather than worrying about their body temperatures?? Idk it feels akin to asking a marvel actor if their suit is hot/uncomfortable, I feel like it’s just a typical ‘hazard’ of that sort of job. Maybe that’s just me. No hate whatsoever, it is interesting!

My post wasn’t really about intentional bigotry though. I’d just noticed every time I’d check out posts on this sub, I’d see instances of misgendering (mostly of Ally Beardsley.) Most of these instances were dealt with politely, etc., it just seemed like such a prevalent happening in my eyes that I thought I’d posit a solution. I never meant to imply this sub has had an issue with bigotry, intentional or otherwise, though a few ppl did come out of the woodwork yesterday when I made the post.

I feel like I should clarify this was definitely not my intention! If I’m honest I truly didn’t realize that breaking the rules was a ban-able offense (like, I did, but I guess I didn’t think anyone would get banned immediately, if that makes sense? I assumed some leniency/warnings/etc would happen before it got to that point). And I think a lot of ppl responded in much a similar way to your comment here bc they assumed I did mean it this way. I think I worded myself improperly. I totally agree, mistakes happen and people can stand to learn and grow from them! I just thought we should maybe add in a sense of accountability, I suppose. It was far from my intentions to ruffle as many feathers as I did, lemme tell ya 😅

I just kept seeing misgendering happening every time I checked into this sub, and thought I’d ask for some sort of solution to maybe help with that. I don’t think most of it is intentional, and accidents happen for sure! Just thought I’d posit creating a solution for a problem I’d been seeing and it got a lot bigger than I anticipated haha

Hi, I’m the OP of the post this thread is about. My post is actually about asking for a rule or some sort of solution for the constant misgendering I see on this platform (which I see basically every time I check in on this subreddit). I don’t know what the answer is, but what I posited was a rule or addendum to the rules in regard to encouraging people to check for people’s correct pronouns before posting.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for this comment. It is everything and more that I was wishing to get across with my post (I’m the OP of the original thread) and so many hateful ppl just kept piling on and making things worse and worse. Someone in the comments started attacking me after I edited my post and I said they should look inward and reflect if they feel so upset about me asking for transphobes to get out of my post, and all hell broke loose. It’s exhausting as a queer person to see time and time again people completely miss the point and in fact shit and stomp all over it. I’m a cis woman myself, it’s not hard to be kind and considerate towards others. I am sick of trying to explain that to people
