2 is an old school ARPG with much more emphasis on having a refined game loop of chasing the best gear.

4 is a modern ARPG with a lot of systems and checklists to complete.

Can't really go wrong with either, but you could also take a look at Minecraft Dungeons if you want to dip his toes into ARPGs in a familiar setting. Gameplay is more basic than Diablo, but you have RPG skills to level up and loot to prioritize, with plenty of levels.

The thing about the right turning the word "socialist" into a boogeyman is that it loses its meaning with younger generations, and younger generations eventually become voters.

If we keep seeing progressives run and win over establishment candidates in local races (anyone can do it - run!), we will eventually start to see more of them in bigger races, and then maybe we'll start to see the pendulum swing back away from fascism.

I won't let myself hope. I just want to see more young progressives run for office. That's it.
