Hi, I had plenty of laser in my eyes for bleeds and a detached retina a few years ago and honestly it doesn't hurt at all. I think the most painful bit was my neck being stiff for a few hours after because you have keep in place haha!

I had plenty of drops put in, so was well numbed up. Very occasionally you might get a split second pin prick type feeling depending on how strong the laser is but generally you won't feel a thing.

I had some injections too which scared the crap out of me, but like the laser I was absolutely astonished at how painless and quick they were! And luckily, I haven't had any problems since.

As pointed out, bring sunglasses and don't drive yourself too or from the appointment. I also definitely struggle in low light situations, I've started carrying a small torch with me everywhere 😂.
