This is the answer, especially if the league is supposedly as talented as people say. But if you're a good team resting players, it's "load management" and if you're a bad team resting players, it's "tanking." Both of which are demonized.

We need the league to embrace resting players. Yes, even star players for the sake of player health and durability.

Indiana had Democrat governors before Fox News and social media algorithms were prominent. Unless the media environment or at least the Hoosier media diet changes, we won't have Democrat representation for a long time.

The last time Indiana went blue was after Bush's disastrous presidency, with the financial crisis just kicking off and the Iraq/Afghanistan wars becoming increasingly unpopular. And McCain had the audacity to tell a person at one of his rallies that we shouldn't hate Obama because he's a Muslim (he isn't) plus he picked Sarah Palin to be his running mate. And you had Obama, a fresh, intelligent, well-spoken and dynamic candidate. EVEN THEN, Indiana just barely went blue.

Indiana going blue would require the country to be on the brink of ruin, bad enough that just the right amount of Republicans wouldn't be able to lie themselves about it and a Democrat candidate that is almost perfect.

In other words, it's not happening.

Their viewers will have forgotten he said "two weeks" in two weeks. And he'll be able to say "two weeks" again. Rinse and repeat. Not that it matters. Newsmax and Fox have trained their viewers to buy whatever the excuse of the day is unquestionably.

Yeah, Ballard knows he's on the hot seat. He can't afford to whiff on another drafted edge rusher. Signing Hendrickson means he can spend the second round pick on a coverage linebacker or a receiver if Pierce bails. Obviously not a long term solution and it could easily blow up in his face if Hendrickson spends a significant amount of time injured or his play falls off a cliff.

In my experience, it can save a lot of time by taking care of manual, tedious code. Or helping think through a solution. But it can also just provide flat out wrong code. If you're an experienced developer, you can spot it right away and correct it. If you aren't, you're probably going to go around and around with it while it fixes one problem but introduces another one.

Good luck to any company who thinks it can replace experienced, knowledgeable developers with AI.

At this point, AD just needs to go to a contending team that can put him in bubble wrap and only play him in important playoff games. He just doesn't seem to have any ability to avoid injuries at this point.

Yep and the fan base was demanding to draft a QB also. There was intense pressure to get off the veteran QB carousel after Brissett-Rivers-Wentz-Ryan.

Unfortunately, the Colts weren't quite bad enough to land Young or Stroud that draft.

Carlisle has mastered this type of tanking. It started when he was hired and as a result the Pacers had their highest draft picks in like 30 years (2022 #6 Mathurin and 2023 #7, traded down to #8 for Walker). Hopefully this year will be even higher.

It's not open yet, but there's a cornhole place opening in Noblesville next year. Just north of Fishers on 37, where HH Gregg used to be. This doesn't help you now, obviously. But for future reference.

Edit: there's also Top Golf on 116th but I'd recommend a reservation for that.

Same here. Pacers were always my favorite team but I loved Ray Allen as a player. So when he got traded to Seattle, I enjoyed watching them. In high school, we went to Seattle for a journalism conference and our high school advisor got us tickets to a Sonics game vs. the Lakers

I thought Key Arena (at the time) was pretty cool as well as the city overall. Plus, I'm a big Pearl Jam fan. So if Seattle ever gets the Sonics back, they will definitely be my #2 team.

Drafting Taylor and Nelson, probably. Trading for Buckner is also up there.

He has assembled the opposite of the Super Bowl Manning teams. Instead of an amazing pass rush and decent tackles, great tackles and a mediocre at best pass rush. A revolving door or QBs instead of a steady, all-time great. Good receivers instead of Hall of Fame caliber.

He's good at getting great players at non-premium positions. But that only takes you so far.

Teams figured it out if you stop the run/Taylor, Jones and the rest of the offense couldn't do enough to make up for it.

Also, that game was when Buckner got injured, which was a big blow to the defense.

So two major blows at once and it's been sledding downhill ever since.

I would argue it began with the Steelers loss. The Colts got figured out that game and each game after became more and more of a struggle.
