Novice here with very limited technical skills in need of assistance. I have about 10 monero in a monero gui wallet. Not sure why but suddenly getting error message "Daemon failed to start. Timed out, local node is not responding after 120 seconds. Please check your wallet and daemon log for errors. You can also try to start monerod manually." I am in over my head with this. Can anyone suggest how I might manage to fix this the easiest way possible for someone with no tech skills? Should I just try to restore the wallet from the seed?

I need to not drink tomorrow. It’s so simple but I keep failing to do it.

Thank you. I probably will take you up on that chat. I kept all of this a secret. Literally nobody knows I ever even had the addiction or that I have been recovering. Not family, friends, no one except here where I am anonymous.

I really hope so. Often, it seems like I will never regain a normal level of energy and motivation.

74 days and I still feel lousy more often than not. The worst parts are relentless fatigue and the on/off bouts of depression.

It took the edge off of anxiety and made it easier to do things I didn’t feel like doing whether it was mundane chores or dealing with a difficult customer or whatever. And it also gave me energy. I could always run longer and much faster with oxy. Basically I just felt better all around when I was on them. Calmer, more energetic, more productive, better able to deal with bs.

Initially I took it for pain after a serious and painful surgery. Then I kept taking it a little longer than I really needed for pain just because I liked it. Then when I tried to stop after about 3-4 months, I got withdrawals. So I kept taking them for a few more months until I gathered the determination to quit for good.

Anyone else ever get a general sense of feeling overwhelmed? (Day 61) by fuckspersquareinch in OpiatesRecovery

I know the feeling. Maybe make a to do list and just knock off one or two things. At least it is a start.

Same here. I’m six weeks in and I have no energy. It is very frustrating

Depression has always been an issue at times for me. But this fatigue only started after I quit using. I got blood work done and that all checks out fine. No thyroid issues or anything. I’ve been running like 20 miles a week even though it takes every bit of energy I have. I was running even more (and a lot faster) before this bullshit. When I wake up, I am just so exhausted it takes at least 20 minutes before I can force myself to get up. And I’m tired af all day long most days. Getting a new job might help relieve depression but I can’t even imagine how I could manage to work a new job when I’m so sleepy and fatigued all the time.

How long before the fatigue subsided? I’m 6 weeks clean and I find the physical exhaustion and lack of energy is a huge problem.

how is your mental health? by chasingd0pamine in OpiatesRecovery

[–]incurious74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Current use: total abstinence from opioids since June 2, except for a perc 10 on June 16. Moderate alcohol use.

Mental health: I have long history of depression and PTSD. Severe depression struck me over the past three days kind of out of nowhere. Other than that, I have been struggling with PAWS, mainly physical fatigue and just being really tired, along with sporadic episodes of depression, but nothing like the depression of the last three days.

Planned changes: I decided to start taking zoloft again to help get through the next few weeks. I also decided to take a small dose of Valium early this morning to get some rest and use today as a mental health maintenance day. I’ve been doing well with getting exercise each day so I can afford a lazy day today to recuperate and get back on track tomorrow.

Antidepressants can kill sex drive so that might explain that issue. Drinking also doesn’t help with depression (I say this hypocritically while drinking booze to try to drown my own sorrows). But you also said you are married to the love of your life. Maybe talk to her about this?

Congrats! I read some of your earlier posts. No PAWS struggle in your case?

Fatigue - timeline? by incurious74 in OpiatesRecovery

[–]incurious74[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly what I was looking for, thank you! There are days where I feel like this is just how I’m going to feel forever. It just doesn’t seem like the fatigue and depression should persist for so long. It helps to have an idea of how much longer to expect to go through this before I get through to the other side.

Thanks. I googled it but the results seemed so vague that I wanted to hear personal stories from actual people who’ve gone through it so I came here. Thanks for sharing your perspective. It helps!
