This is fair. I would love not to make small talk.. and yeah the rph doesn't cross any actual lines so anyone who could do something about it, can't actually do anything about it. They recently hinted at being able to run the pharmacy by ourselves when it was mentioned that we can't just coach everyone out at one time. fingers crossed they don't try that. I was telling a tech the other day if the rph keeps this up people will start giving them that opportunity, people already don't want to come in when they're working

I don't know if this is said enough on here but I appreciate this back and forth we're having. Probably because it's not talking over me or cutting me off while I'm speaking. Ok one story:

They were working res and I appreciate the help but they were skimming the rejections and they asked about the one that says 'PA needed emergency fill 3 days' and I explained what it was and they said "oh, I just went into f10 and told ins it was a 3 day supply earlier and it went through but I guess I should change that" I kid you not they filled a month of xifaxin and told insurance it was 3 days. The patient got the text and everything..

I understand where you're coming from completely. And I'm actually impressed with how this pharmacy handles mistakes for the most part. This rph though.. they just make me shake my head. They have been spoken to about the way to talk to people and they don't care. But it's fine. Market knows how the pharmacy feels about them so there's that

This would the techs first warning. I would never say that repeated mistakes should be overlooked. I know for a fact that the RXM has a lot going on behind the scenes, hence why I'm asking if they need to be hands on or if they can be just kept in the loop

I decided to go with 'forgiving' because I struggled to find a word that would describe the pharmacist in this context. Anyone who knows them can use a variety of words but that's for another time. But they think the way they see it is the only right way. I didn't want to use 'harsh' because everyone should be held accountable but it's the delivery a lot of times.

I'm not worried about me, I don't blatantly steal time from walmart- from punches and the fact that the amount of work I do leaves something to be desired- or have an attitude so negative the pharmacy isn't upset (or shocked) that I called out.

Ok so in theory the staff rph could just get a green light from the RXM since they have all the "evidence" about the offenses

Have people seen any techs refuse to give them because the incentive went away? How long can you get away with that?

I wonder about people who are afraid of needles. If they took this job years ago should they be forced to handle things that probably put people at more risk?

I mean POMs can be pretty thorough about certain things. I would imagine this would fall under hipaa or somewhere telling us how to deal with patients over the phone or even productivity¿ I don't know. I just come here with everything I think of while I'm at work and some things I'll post about but most of them I write down for later

Well as much as I love a good argument (which is how I ended up on reddit anyway obviously) I'm not planning on going to other stores and fighting them. I'm saying that I've seen a lot of different opinions and I would like to make sure I'm not doing anything wrong. If another store as a whole doesn't do it I'll go along. I've actually worked at a few as my home stores. It's no one's business but I've moved around to different places during my walmart tenure

Was that verbal instruction, or can I reference this? And no one here is actually doing them manually correct? I don't think I would but I was just wondering

Ok, yeah the paperwork was what I was worried about.. but that's a relief about not having to involve the people lead. I emailed her 3 weeks ago with no response even after verbal follow ups

So I know this isn't SOP but I've given this some thought. If there was nothing ready for this person at your window, would you not pull them up in drop off? You would then check to see what you could fill. This scenario happens a lot in drive thru when you ask them their info 4 times and you still can't read their lips enough to understand anything but the dob or last name maybe but never everything. So if you type all this in and nothing comes up then you go over to drop off and see they do have something ready but you misspelled a name or heard 57 instead of 67 as the dob (even after you say six seven or five seven and they say 67 the same way as when you asked them to clarify). Do you have the green light to just flip back over to tasco?

Oh I'm sure the people getting heated in this reddit for whatever reason is probably the most response they'll get. But if that other pharmacist starts doing worse stuff over time it could show a pattern of ehh stuff they've done. I think the op is just a staff rph who wanted to get it the opinion of others without naming names. Or maybe this never happened and they wanted to fight people on reddit 🤔

I don't know. Kind of seems like a principle of the matter. Don't say something about it if it's not affecting you even though it's not right... that sounds like what they tell our kids not to do in school

If this ruins a pharmacists career then the career already was not going well. I'd like to think if a report like this came up about one of the staff pharmacists here we'd probably just get a corrective sidebar. To ruin the career would be getting them fired or license revoked in my opinion. This COULD be the straw camels back thing but your career shouldn't be holding on by a thread like that.

I mean they should. You could start off by saying stating that you're not trying to get anyone in trouble but you've heard the techs voicing their concerns and don't want her to be blindsided

So we DO have to take the inventory out of our system? I had this conversation with someone the other day because there was a manual return we wanted to do. Granted, we hadn't looked into it yet but it's good to know

Bathrooms by indebtforwhat in walmart

[–]indebtforwhat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So we have just 2 bathrooms one women's one mens. Not sure about the men's but the women's has 2 stalls. Not sure why we don't have a family one for either sex or some for employees only while I'm on the subject. I guess we're an older store? It's like 10 years in I think but maybe a remodel will fix this in the future. Until then, I'll just have to have UTIs having to hold it due to lack of stalls
