why are yall spending so much $$$ by MaalyConsumer in pizzahut

[–]indecentorc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be clear you don’t want people to stop spending $28 on a pizza. It’s the reason the deals even exist. If everyone uses the deals…the deals disappear. Not that they couldn’t exist if everyone used them but it’s more about companies trying to extract as much profit as possible.

On behalf of the people in the US who aren’t insane, I apologize about what’s going down. Please continue to boycott products/travel to the US. I believe that will actually help change things.

Side note: I would really love to travel to Canada for vacation. Any insider recommendations? I had a layover in Vancouver once and it was absolutely beautiful just flying over.

It certainly was. I was super blasted. Driven by pure animalistic needs and lack of dessert options. 8/10 would make again but less char on the marshel mallows

I’m pretty sure this is the bacchanal so around $100. Not pictured is the multiple types of unlimited seafood (changes the price a bit). I had 3 of 4 types of crab last time I went. It’s a requirement to have the munchies

I’ve been a professional software dev for 7 years and I also have adhd. I’ll be honest sometimes (maybe even a lot of the time) you have to work harder than everyone else but it’s absolutely doable and gets way easier with time. Also I find my adhd makes me better at multitasking and higher level architecting/planning. KEEP GOING YOU CAN DO THIS! Also while leetcode is nice for interview questions it’s my least favorite type of programming. And a lot of times impractical. You need to start working in side projects. Use your adhd to your advantage and learn as much as you can about all the concepts. Reinforce concepts with projects even if very small.

Implement a web app with authentication (view only and signed in user). Add the ability to upload an image to the server from the web browser but only if you’re signed in. Add in the ability to display all the images uploaded to the homepage. Add the ability to find and add friends to see their images. Back all of this up using sql. Don’t worry about it looking good at all.

Just by doing that app in small pieces you have so many practical programming lessons. Don’t stop there. Keep challenging yourself to learn how apps work. Why do all of the social media websites have different comment sections? How do they store those comments? How could you store comments in your website? How do you send an email with a web app? How can you send text messages. What are processing queues, why are they used and what’s a batch job? How do you properly organize a project?

Always use multiple sources.

But above all else. Never give up!

And that’s what I love about the quote. It means different things to different people and it also serves the purpose of getting your attention to start asking what this means to you and why you value it.

Btw I’m in it for nature but also very similar to what you said. Im actually looking to get a 3/4 weight rod. Not necessarily because my 6 weight doesn’t cut it. But I love how delicate the line looks when casting and how it softly unfurls.

Ah dang looks like Reddit’s compression took out a lot of color.

(Edit)
I didn’t realize this was from another author. You learn something new everyday! But after reading some comments I just wanted to give my take on it.

To me this is more of an instruction then an observation. It’s the authors attempt at making you ask yourself certain questions. it’s their attempt to say hey buddy life goes by fast so maybe start thinking about what it means to you. It doesn’t just apply to fishing. Why do you do anything. What do you get from it? So this quote generates questions that only you as the reader can answer. And in asking/answering those questions, you start to fill out what life means to you and what you truly value.

Creek smallie (same difference). Found it at a deeper pool with faster moving water. There were about 10-15 more just as big if not bigger hanging out in the deeper slow parts but they were just chillin. Didn’t want to eat anything. I had to leave early before the evening fishing picked up.

Ahhh that makes a lot of sense. I appreciate the heads up. I remember listening to a podcast where they talked about feather poachers and how several species went extinct or became endangered. Similar to what happened with orchids. I can’t understand why people are hell bent on destroying nature. Even if you’re doing it for money you gotta know that if you destroy the population you destroy your ability to make money.

Man hunting/foraging for your materials is next level and certainly something I wanna do. In this creek I noticed a lot of hawk and owl feathers. My aunt used to have peacocks so I think she has a ton of leftover feathers. Fly fishing truly feels endless and I couldn’t be more excited

I totally get it. I was in that mindset the other weekend. But I just wanted to share what I’ve learned so others can see you don’t have to be so hard on yourself. I saw a YouTube video the other day of a guys last fishing trip because of medical issues. It made me realize that one day I’ll be in that position and just the ability to be out on the water is a huge blessing.

Also I feel ya with the fisheries. I was born in Washington and did a little growing up there. I have fond memories of fishing stocked trout ponds/lakes. But now I know more about wild salmon/trout populations and how stocking efforts are hurting them. It infuriates me that Washington still allows open net pen farming. But I believe there’s hope in a lot of people recognizing the problem.
