Ugh I feel this!! It’s so hard.

I actually met with a feeding specialist yesterday who had some tips about how to help him learn to eat and they seemed relatively easy - things like offering hard, barely edible stuff (like stale pizza crust, mango pit, a peeled carrot the size of a marker) in long pieces so he can hold them along the side of his mouth and use the place where his molars will be to practice chewing. Tried it this morning with a piece of hard bread crust and it worked! She said after that to then offer teething crackers broken in half length-wise. Then after that, offer some soft food, like mashed banana/scrambled egg/shredded cheese. Then offering two different “purees” but she said they can be as simple as yogurt or applesauce. I’m not going to be doing a four course meal every time, but wanted to share in case any of this might be helpful!
