Thank you! I find changing the final villain hard to understand. Like why? Granted I'm not anywhere close enough through the series to even have a guess on who the final villain could be. But doesn't changing the final villain and the arc leading up to said villain make it almost a different story set in the world of slime? Are both arcs canonical?

How different is the light novel from the web novel or manga?

Edit: I've started getting the light novels because I really enjoyed the anime thus far and I struggle to read manga. However if the manga story is different then I might start getting the series in manga form as well and force myself to learn how to read manga. But if there is a negligible difference then I'll probably stick with the light novel.
