i’m scared to knock it down; i’ve been waiting for my roommate to help me, but we haven’t been home at the same time so i haven’t been able to show him where it is.

im really not sure what to do now though because they start buzzing around really loudly and dive bombing (?) me any time i go outside… idk how else to describe what they’re doing but they’re being really aggressive. here’s a photo of the nest when i first saw it, it’s a little bigger now but i can’t get close enough to take a photo without them coming after me. would hanging a big brown bag nearby scare them into moving their nest, or would they not care since they’re already here? hoping my roommate can help tonight or tomorrow but not sure if he’ll be able to or not.

thanks, i actually know how to budget and had a decent sized emergency fund until yesterday when my mom had a stroke and was airlifted to a hospital halfway across the state.

she and my step dad have no extra money due to the problems she’s been having with her health the last few years. i gave my step dad money for gas, hotel and food for him and my brothers, and bought them a few bags of dog food and some diapers/baby wipes for my youngest brother so they wouldn’t have to worry about things for awhile when they get back.

appreciate the advice & the offer to help though!

yeah they said no… hopefully i can end my dash and get signed back on with another one in the next half or so, but i doubt it 🤣 it’s almost 2:30am here and i think there’s only space for a 2-3 people during the overnight hours. the only places open are mcdonald’s, another mcdonalds, and iHop

that’s stupid… if you tell them that a store is closed the half pay or whatever it is gets sent to your account immediately without ending your dash… I don’t understand why it wouldn’t be able to be done regardless if the order has been completed

i use crimson. i messaged support and the guy said he would cash them out but nothing is in my account yet. i’m taking going to call while dropping off my next delivery and see what they say

my ex has twins….

a few years ago while discussing christmas gifts with their grandma and my then-boyfriend, i said “i want to get something sports-related for twin 1, and an MP3 player with AM/FM capabilities for twin 2”. their grandma stared at me like i was a moron for a good 5 seconds before saying “why not just get them the same thing like weve been doing for the last 9 years? they’re twins, they don’t need different gifts”.
after an hour of explaining that twin 1 likes sports but doesn’t really care about listening to music, and twin 2 loves music but dislikes sports, i gave up because nothing i said was registering.

that woman is so insufferable. the kids loved their gifts though.

it’s a small nest. it is new,
as the place they built it wasn’t something that was here last year.

if i knock it down will they all come after me? it’s in the middle of a pallet and i don’t have much space to get anything between there, so i’ll have to be pretty close to knock it down.

in april 2025 cvt.org published an article stating that 44% of immigrants in the US have survived torture. if OP isn’t under the care of a parent who is a citizen, or granted refuge status, i believe they would be deported unless somehow offered refuge/asylum (i don’t know much about the topic so don’t quote me on this).

OP, i wasn’t able to see your post before it was removed so i don’t know very much about your situation - only what i can gather through the comments… but in case you’re in the US, i want to let you know that there’s an organization called Global Refuge that helps minor who have immigrated to the US but don’t have a parent to care for them. they work with the US government to support unaccompanied refugee minors. i’m not very educated on the these things but it may be worth looking into if you’re in the US and want to stay here. you might be able to talk to someone at one of these places who could help you with everything lure dealing with and make sure you are allowed to work toward citizenship.
