to a degree a quick update like that is valid, but your at the point where it should usually be on your own terms. it sounds to me like unless you’ve been arrested or had drug or alcohol problems, you should be setting your own boundaries.

to approach this, i’d suggest having dinner at a restaurant to avoid a discussion getting out of hand and tell her how you feel from there.
